speak up for yourself!! Explain to your VR worker that you are HOH and are unable to do this job. They cannot force you into a job you do not want to do

they are saying a Bluetooth headset through the smartlink will be enough

Don't you have CAP? It doesn't seem like a good idea for someone with CAP even if the volume compensates for hearing loss.

Why would your VR has enrolled you on a course and wants you get a call center job?

Shouldn't it be your choice to pick a course what you want to do and what kind of job you want to do?

According to them(VR) this is the job that a lot of people get that they see.

what does that have to do with me and im studying to be a legal secretary(paralegal) and already have certificates in this feild so what I cant get head around is why I HAVE to do this course.

They cannot force you into a job you do not want to do

They cant force me to go to this course but what they can do is STOP MY BENEFIT THAT I AM GETTING FROM THE STATE IF I DONT GO

And when they find me a job they cant make me go. But I will be in the postion of I have to go to get money to live.

If you don't like the job they offered, find your own, work, and give up your benefits.

If that sounds too difficult, perhaps you should appreciate the opportunity they have offered you.

Are you saying you don't want a job at all, no matter what it is and that you just want to receive the benefits for the rest of your life?

benefits suck and no I dont want to be on them for the rest of my life.

I just feel that they(VR) read cerebral palsy on sign up form. Went out and found this course and all. Before they read the other disabilty section.

Seems to me they should be offering you a job in your field, the one you studied in or have expertise at. And until they do, you should still, in the meantime, be getting your benefits.

Then you need to be more upfront and direct with your VR. I know you may had said something, but it's best to do it in person and with an interpreter if you need one.

They cannot force you into a job that you don't believe you can perform, but you have to prove them that.

She doesn't have a "field". She says she is still in school.

I have to take courses to keep my teaching certification. I dont like it and if it was up to me, I would refuse but it is part of my job and my responsibility so I am taking a course now. Life sucks but at least you have a job.

I agree. There are so many people who can not get work and would take ANYTHING to keep food on their table. I think it is a little...I don't know....snobby?, to turn down a job that someone is handing you (you didn't even have to work to get it) because it is "below you" because it is not in a field you are interested in.

good news of sorts im on the course

now lets see if vr comes up with adcontions
