Pre-1997 and post-2003, for the win! When I was there in the hearing world .... where I can use my voice all I want to (and use SimCom) ..... where I didn't have to see the dumb kids at the deaf school (and I bet the same goes for Gally) using the sign for "turning off your voice" .......

I have longed for those days back when I suffered through those years at the deaf school - and I got it. Never again will I even step in ISD campus. And, no I won't even experience "culture shock" if I ever step in Gally campus - it'd be a deja vu. *yawn*

99.99% impossible for me to find a deaf guy that's single, cute, MATURE, and age-approximate .... so I stuck with hearing guys instead.

I'd recommend that any deafie who feels that way while in NTID or Gally should quit and transfer to another university, local or state. Yes, there are some drawbacks like having VR pay for interpreters and such, but the way I see it, it's so much worth it. You won't have to put up with that deafie gossipy crap.

4 deaf gurls put alchol (sp?) in my water bottle because they want to see how my reaction when i'm on drunk mode.. before that's happen.. I told them HELL NO for millions times that I dont want to drink wines, beers, or anything like that! they forced me to drink it by putting it in my water bottle? I drank it as slip and realized it isnt water.. I yelled at them and who freaking did that? they said nothing.. I'm like WHAT THE UNTRUSTY FRIENDS YA ALL!!!

and worst part that deaf ppl never grow up.. QUIT GOSSIP! i dont care it is small world for deaf ppl.. get a life! who cares to know about someone else's life? it isnt their businesses to know..

and list go on..

I realized that hearing ppl are better for me (yea i'm deaf but i hate deaf ppl.. ) my roommmate is hearing and seems to get along very well with me.. and i get along with several hard of hearing ppl.. they are freaking alot better than deaf ppl..

Wow, so u decided that am I one of those? I guess your no difference from me. I do not drink or smoke weeds yet I hang around those people both deaf and hearing, they resepct me and know me too well. Tonight I am inviting my friends and they will drink, not me. I accept them for who they are and they accept me for who I am. I stay away from those people both hearing and deaf (no difference between them) who are into this kind of stuffs your talking about. U wanna to hear what happened last week? My husband's friend passed away from hemmorage. Just today my old hearing friend (that was her nephew who died) called my husband and told us about this woman who helped him to get out of hospital bed and unlock the restrained on his hands without letting nurse know. That is what killed him, he was supposed to stay in the bed and laying in the bed till his body heal buttttt nooo this tweeter came in and told lie to everyone else that she is his girlfirend. Truth was, this guy was engaged to be married soon to other woman. She was forbid to attend his funeral, yet she showed up. How hell she found out about it? I do not know. Really everyone is sooo upset wtih her and wanted to kick her a#$. Hearing and deaf people are no difference, just have to pick right crowd. I am sorry u went thru this with wrong type of people. But do not put us down because of your bad expereince with wrong type of peple, it has nothing to do with deaf, just u pick wrong people.

I encountered that at Gallaudet but I ignored those people and eventually I found people who were wonderful. If I had quit Gallaudet because of some people, that means I am a quitter.

Even at Arizona State University, I encountered snobby hearing people.

Yeah I seen that too, Jealous is a terrible thing to waste, I believe they get love the wrong way or want something in the wrong way in the worst possible way to get what they want. It seems some don't show any feelings or remoses to ruin a person's reputation and no matter what it cost them. I agree with you to stand your own ground and ingore them. Some friends are not always a saint. :cool2:
