I guess I learn more study important to eating fruits and vegetable, both water help you better weight loss, I hope be figure out weight. I don't want to too much cookies or cakes because gain weight. I try hard work control eating breakfast and night.
 
I'm on a diet now too to try to lose weight.

It is really hard to try to avoid all the bad sugars in cookies and cakes.

Concentrating on the fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of water is definitely a good step.
 
I agree you are correct... I think so good idea. I don't want too much snack. It is hard gain weight. I concern about stretch marks. I want to careful to food. I want to learn food good balance eating help better you lose weight for vegetable and fruit.
 
You might want to consider adding lean protein sources and health fats in your diet.

Also, be smart with what you eat. You don't have to eat salads everyday... just Google up healthy diet meals and work from there.

I remember cutting down to a single digit body fat (7% - measured with 3 point calipers) and I hated my diet. Most of my meals consisted of chicken breasts, green beans or broccolis, and almonds with occasional carb refeeds.

Now, that's over with and I've gained 20+ lbs of lean mass and I can't wait to look forward to cutting down again with a much better diet plan.

Bison steaks, anyone? Yum! Cinnamon bun flavored whey protein mixed w/ peanut butter, frozen blueberries, and water? YUM! :)
 
There are plenty of health resources on the internet. If you want you could go see a nutritionist and hear what they say. Just an idea.
 
I think so good idea.. I think so good vegetable: salad lots for you important to eat.. I think so weight loss. I want to better nutritionist. I research study more diet...
 
A nutrionist is a very good idea if you want to loose weight because many people think a diet is going to help. Yes, probably... but what is more important is that when you have lost weight you are also able to keep it down.

Besides it's not all about eating only vegetables and fruit when you want to loose weight. Your body needs proteins and in quite some vegetables there aren't proteins.... Proteins can be found in meat, fish, eggs and all sort of dairy products.

So to me the first "good" step when you want to loose weight is to get to know your food. What is good and what is bad? What kind of vitamins are in it? What is it good for?

It will help you for sure! :D

Yes it is... fortunately for me I learnt a lot from my grand-mère. I never needed to do diet but I still have to pay attention when it comes to fat and chocolate. Chocolate definitely is bad for me :giggle: The temptation is bad.

Since I have bile and stomach issues I have to pay attention when it comes to fat. If I eat too much, I will have to face consequences everal hours later :( - and that's not funny!!! Yet a burger every once in a while tastes SOOO good :laugh2:
 
lean protein - meat or plant-based - and fiber combination will help person feel full for longer and avoid quick and wild swings of - "stuffed" and "starving". Also eating several small meals daily as opposed to a couple large meals. Things like refined "white" anything - flour, rice, sugar - offer simple sugars and are quickly metabolized, leading to hunger easily. Refined products also stripped of nutrients, which is why manufacturers then add synthetic vitamins and minerals back in.
 
Fruits and vegetables are much cheaper at the farmer's markets or outdoor stores than they are in the indoor stores. Why? Packaging.

Make sure you wash them well once you get home so you know they all are clean.

Drink 8 tall glasses of water and make sure you add lots of ice cubes into them. This makes more water to drink. You can add slices of lemon or lime for flavour.

Don't eat anything 3 hours before bedtime, your body shuts down digesting anything after dinner. Think around 6 pm, don't eat anything carbs. Just drink water and eat an apple or carrots.

No more alcoholic beverages like beer. They make you gain weight! Think beer belly. Even if people say "Try Lite!" It's not true. Stay away from alcohol, period.

Alcohol is a suppressant. It will play on your emotions and hinder your thought processing therefore you eat comfort food like chicken wings, nachos and burgers. Not good.

It takes a long time and yes, we all go kicking and screaming into this lifestyle but it pays off.

I avoid sweets and now prefer mineral water. Hubby and I only order a meal & ask for two plates at restaurants. Saves money and we are able to watch our carbs. We order a meal that includes a soup or salad & a side salad.

We split the meal and are able to feel satisfied knowing we had a good portion rather than a huge meal. This saves money too as well.

We are also able to order a dessert and we share this too as well. It is portion, portion, portion.

If you crave sweets, don't eat it alone. Share your sweets with a friend and eat with a friend. Never eat sweets alone. This is where the "dangerous" comforting sensation comes in. Overeating comes from the comforting sensation.

Hope this all helps. I had a lot of counselling and I learned a lot about my eating habits from counselling & was able to lose a lot of weight and still am losing weight.

Lose weight for yourself, not a person who you want to impress.

I could say I have been on a diet for most of my life. I know what to do but I have to do it. I know for me I have to exercise as well as eat my fruits and vegs!!!
 
That is complication to really difficult to watch food careful. I know my grandpa saw gain weight wow. I didn't seen myself look like chubby, I find out think so probably help you control watch food. I think so good idea I know difficult to my exercise hard breath wow. it is not easy go run instead walk help you better depend on weight loss. I think so good idea.. I need to more study on food..
 
im also on diet because i do eat tons of fruits and vegetables makes me lose weight everyday on weight scales all the times.

i begged my mom i must on diet dues doctor's order! because i must drink lots of water and little diet coke not whole!!
