I'm so new at this. What's a VCO and VP? Can anyone explain to me about this?

VCO = Voice Carry Over.
Voice Carry Over
The next most common call type is Voice Carry Over (VCO). VCO allows a person who is Hard–of–Hearing or Deaf and does speak to use one's voice while receiving responses from a person who is Hearing via the operator's typed text. There are many variations of VCO, including 2-Line VCO and VCO with privacy.

You want to know what VP (videophone) is?

Thank you Brian. I guess you could say that I haven't been in the deaf communities since 1985. And I haven't been around my deaf/HOH friends since. I'm getting where I either can't understand people on the phone sometimes (especially if they have an Accents) or I'm losing my hearing. I wear the BTE, I used to wear the all in the ear but they get ruin when I have ear infection and all. I'm just learning of what's best for me to use while talking to someone. VCO, is for me to talk and the person on the other end can talk to me and the screen show me what they were saying? Is that right?

You can use VCO with VP as well. Sorenson, HOVRS, CSDVRS, and Sprint all allow VCO.
