Why not?...Ladies don't want their hair messed up and wet....even their clothes. Good idea!
Which I have a way of not thinking of when I could use it!
...dunno where you're at...but in Florida, the umbrella is for rain....especially in NE Florida. Umbrellas might be the world's most lost item...I've had thousands of them (it seems)...
Do you use an umbrella when it is snowing? Just saw some with them out watching the Today Show. It just reminded me of how sensible it seems when I see it but I never seem to think to do it myself.
In SC, umbrellas are for the rain or to shade from the sun.
In the North, umbrellas are probably fine for the snow as long as it's not too windy.
I have lived in New England for years and I never seen a person use an umbrella during a snow storm or hail storm. People that live in New England are very hardy people.
You can not use the umbrella when it is very windy or break the umbrella in either snowstorm or hail storm. Just only use it for calm weather especially if it is raining or snowing.
I agree with Reba on this one.![]()
I know about hardy Yankees. My family's lived in New England since 1620.I have lived in New England for years and I never seen a person use an umbrella during a snow storm or hail storm. People that live in New England are very hardy people.
