Update

Hi everyone,

Since my Medicaid eligibility expired this month (I need to reapply), my appointment for further CI testing to determine the cause of my dizziness and nausea needs to be postponed until May or June.

My audi sent me an e-mail asking how I've been doing. She cc'd my CI surgeon as well. I said I'm feeling better, but experience dizziness and nausea whenever I turn my head from side to side.

My CI surgeon replied and suggested that I see the balance specialist at my CI center who can recommend specific exercises to deal with this problem.

My appointment with the balance specialist will be scheduled on the same day I have my CI testing.

I will continue to keep all of you posted.

before you do that, have you test for thyroid problems? The reason because my hubby's grandma get dizzy and sometimes nausea because of that. (I've also hear that migraine make you feel nausea)

Hope all goes well! I have a sliver of what it is like to experience dizziness on a consistent basis. For maybe 6 months, whenever I laid down or got up in a specific way, the room would be spinning and it would last a few seconds. This was kind of bad, considering that during this time, I slept on a bed 5-6 feet from the floor! (on a loft)

Good luck with you, Hear Again!

no words are needed. HUUUUUUUGGGGGGGSSSSS! :) hang in there...you waited this long. On the plus side, I'm so glad to hear your bipolar is in control.

:ty: Lady! <hugs back>

I'm not discouraged at all about waiting until May 20th for my appointment. As you said, I've waited this long, what is a few more weeks? :)

Besides, I'm no longer experiencing any dizziness except when I turn my head from side to side.

I'm hearing very, very well now and am very pleased with my current maps.

As far as my bipolar is concerned, I'm also glad it's in control now. I'm no longer experiencing any rapid cycling which is helping me deal with this situation better than I would otherwise. :)

Due to the fact that I was diagnosed with bipolar in 2006, I was also tested for hypothyroidism (since the symptoms of bipolar mimic hypothyroidism) and the test was negative.

I have a 21 year history of migraines, but they are pretty much under control by the meds I take for them. (Depakote - which I also take for bipolar, Topamax, Imitrex)

Thanks, Daredevel! :ty:
