Which is why I prefer to use carry on... less worry about lost baggages.
Not just that... when people don't claim or forget their bags at the claim area... people just take them home and no one would notice.
There is another similar thread I made before....

Wow. 1,000 bags is quite a few bags. Then again, I mainly use Amtrak, and I know just what to carry with me at all times. I'm good.
I wouldn't be so sure... there is baggage theft happened on Amtrak in the past. Can happen anywhere you travel. Doesn't matter if you carry with you all the times... it takes few second to take away the bags or items when people don't pay attention.
Yeah, I know. In fact, a theft happened while I was on the Amtrak years ago, but it wasn't towards my property, though. That's why I use really small locks that are hard to pick, and hard to cut without someone seeing you do it. As for my laptop bag, that stays with me at ALL times. Come to think of it, I need to get security for my bags next month, as I have a trip on the CTA coming up.
don't need a lock to pick. just simply get a pen and make a hole in the zipper.
Ah, but if I used two or more small locks, they wouldn't be able to open it. Done tested it myself. And it seems like I can't find any of my locks, so I may need to adjust my plans for today's trip. Or I could use 4 or more zippers in the same area.
no you don't get it. it doesn't matter if you have 10 locks... I can still rip open your zipper with a pen.
