In my efforts to convince people that there is no such thing as a handicap that cannot be overcome, I have decided to train a young man that is a musician but has no ARMS. I have spoken with him, and he has agreed to allow me to teach him how to operate my "Hand Controls" vehicle.
We also contacted the media and thus we will be able to document the 1st ever person that drives a vechicle using only his feet.
Our target date for this rare event is May 25, 2008.
See you on TV:iough:

I've heard of a person, a female, driving with her feet, but with your "hand controls" does that mean that your vehical has been changed to fit to your needs and then have that armless person to operate hand controls... NOW that would be something else! :) Thanks for letting us know! :)

That is correct. The "hand controls" now become "foot controls" and makes it much easier for that person to drive his car.
Stay tune for airing dates and channel
We will also record the event on DVD.

This is the introduction forum. Are you sure you are on the right track when you are talking about a person with no arms learning to drive with feet on the steering wheel? Are you interest in meeting us Deaf/HOH people, otherwise, you are on the wrong thread here. For my two cents, welcome to AllDeaf here. I hope you enjoy reading and posting all the threads here. See you around.

Welcome to Alldeaf, but you are on the wrong thread, sorry.

I have heard of that before. I saw a documentary about a woman who has a kid and has no arms. She does everything on her own with her own feet. She can type, sew, put clothes on her kid, drive all with her feet.

Welcome to AllDeaf! :thumb:

That thing you are doing sounds like a good thing, but it's not a new thing. There are already a lot of limb-less people who are able to do things like that.
