My friends stopped by in Pennsylvania, and looked around a place which called Centralia. It used to be a town back in 1962. The town was banned around 1980's (?) because of the coal burning underground for years, and it is still burning now. The ground is very warm... the roads are little hot. The town's name on the maps was removed. The government tried to sell the town property, and no one wants to buy it because it is too dangerous. I am surprised that the scientists do not know how to stop the burning coal alive underground for so many years because I thought that we have the technologies that would solve the problem, but it is not. What a shocking news.

P.S. I was told that the underground burning coals are still expanding slowly that leave other towns to worry in the future.
