Hey, Jwillisbarrie I checked the link you sent..
It was very interesting but it's not like the one I have cause mine just drop like 70 volume down.. just like that..
Right now is worse than it was 4 months ago..
but again right now is waaaaay better than how it's gonna be 4 months later..
I have an appointment after a week and if things were headed that way I'll start taking some pills..
In the link you sent me the person had a problem for 10 minutes and it comes and goes,
which I believe is a hearing problem more than it's anything else.. What do you think?
"I am pretty sound great not bad!" What does that mean?
And I'm gonna be honest with you I have 0 experience I don't know anyone deaf in my circle.. Which is bad in a way..
I had a phase when I was 16 in translating songs to ASL!
does that count?!
I know no one in the deaf community but I would love to! I mean Why not?!
You're honestly the first one..
"I am pretty sound great not bad!" What does that mean?
:
0.o!oh really oh i see you have translate ASL interesting, !!
I am experience on deaf community saskatoon lots of, I have english on translate, I am study lots of ASL training to ASL I effort to best to, I remember on sign language on skills lots of on sign language lots of on mistake on sign language, fail understand, blocked communication I want to change better fine issues fast to communication,ASL support to teach me lots of me effort to me research me I am very many times skills ASL high doubt on ASL, i am very doubt to quality on than more another person I do best advise, ! I think so effort!
I figure out thinks see my translate on my ASL see find out no worry I do it!! my brain out I rough ASL!
He means it's ok with him if you are a hearing person.
Alright, Thanks Bottesini..
I'll manage to understand all this asap.
If I asked a Q like that is it rude or something cause that's the last thing I wanna be!
Yea, I have difficult understanding all that
But I'm not concerned if I can understand you cause I'm gonna be able to do that one day!
But do you find it easy communicating with me?
By the way Travis. I find you really cool
It's ok to ask Smithtr, and he just asked me to tell you if it's too hard for you to understand.
And you are right, soon you will understand him .
no worry it is happened, I have native language english also sometimes I am native language ASL aslo< I am experience oral also and Als i tell you I am experience to you I can tell you I hope be you find communication easy fast! that is correct!
Maybe a little but so what?! I will understand .. he is patient which is very nice!
As long as he doesn't find it hard to understand me?
What about you Bottesini?
What about me? I am the mother of two and grandmother of four all of whom are under age five. I am deaf, and I understand you are Smithtr both just fine.
And yes he is patient, and he is also one of the nicest young men you could meet.
And if he doesn't understand you, I translate that also!
the audiologist told me that deafness different from unable to listen.unable to listen was a brain disorder due to illness or brain damage even mental, what ever it very real problem
I think conversion disorder is what in "the old days" was called hysteria, manifested in hysterical blindness, hysterical mutism, hysterical deafness, etc. In fact, I think that was the idea behind Tommy.Fluctuating Hearing Loss (like we were talking about in the FHL thread) is actually very different, an entirely different condition than pycho-symatic or conversion disorder hearing issues.
Conversion disorders are psychological in nature - it's a way the brain deals with stress but there is actually nothing "wrong" with the ear or processing.
With fluctuating hearing loss is actual changes is ones hearing loss caused by environmental or physical changes - the person has a confirmed physical hearing loss at all times though.
APD - is a different neurological condition which is also "physical" in that the brain actually incorrectly processes sounds (more obvious in noisy backgrounds, but there all the time).
APD, like SNHL & CHL doesn't have a psychological component at all. In contrast conversion disorder hearing issues are psychological in nature.
For this reason conversion disorder hearing issues aren't treated with hearing aids (because there's nothing wrong with the actual hearing) , instead it's treated with therapy and medications which treat the underlying mental health causes of the conversion disorder (anxiety, trauma etc).
