That is the same thing I have been doing for my retirement (401K and stocks) Man cannot just live on SS. I've been planning on my retirement since before I got married and I had been investing as much $ as I could into my 401k and taking my employer's free money and running with it.

I'm also pissed at Bush as you are especially the 2.7 trillion deficit in the budget. Taking Clinton's surplus and adding up the deficits is like that Bush is totally pissing onto the efforts Clinton made to reduce the deficit during his 2 terms in office. I'm not letting my girls and grandkids pay Bush's credit card bill down in the future (Also stricter accounting methods by the government should be in force like balanced budgets as the states have been doing)

Greenspan's idea of cutting SS is going to influence a lot of recipes for cooking with cat food.... :ugh:
 
Social Security is a joke, a pyramid scam that is about to come crashing down. I am certain that I will not receive a dime from it, after all the money that's been seized from me and thrown down that rathole.

One estimate is that young people will have to be taxed at a rate of 82% to keep geezers living in the style to which they've become accustomed (which is improving all the time--check out the new prescription drug benefits). Despite that, the young continue to not vote, leaving the old to vote for the people who promise them the most booty stolen by the force of government. How stupid!
