Oh that one, Lay yes, found guilty, I am not sure how long the sentence. I can dig out and find out.

Sentence was never served, because he died before the sentencing but found guilty. Damn! His family got away, because if not convicted, families gets inheritance. Once sentence he becomes convict and will lose everything. OMG!

Apparently so....They would have been much better off if they had gotten away from union labor years ago. Poor decision on their part.

Almost like Walmart, yes? Or Target?

Well, how can people expect to make a living at those kind of wages? They can't without assistance. So which way do you want it:
  • They live in or near poverty, using welfare/food stamps
  • They work 2 or 3 jobs, making it even more difficult for the unemployed to find work, and if they have children, not being involved in their lives, which would certainly not be beneficial to the children
Also, there is nothing in your comments in this thread that addresses the many weeks of vacation taken by board members. Somehow, they deserve 30% wage increases, stock options, bonuses, and lengthy vacations, regardless of the company's bottom line, while those union thieves deserve $10 an hour or less, little or no time off, no benefits. Sounds fair to me....not.

You can point to the "they could have made it if they worked harder" plan, but who does these jobs if everyone is a CEO? You do understand that only a very short list of people actually make it to the top, where they call the shots. There are stories of people from all walks of life having made it to the top, but the norm still is .... the rest of us.
 
Exactly my point. Depending on the size of company, but yeah 5-7 millions dollars of labor paid each week can be true in some major corporations. Some more, some less.

Make 'em in China! They can use whatever chemicals they have lying around, no worries. I wouldn't buy any more or less of them than I do now.

Is it good enough to save Hostess? I doubt because Hostess wasn't profitable after got out of bankruptcy.

I disagree with members whoever have anti-union and they made too easy to blame unions, without having look so hard.
 
Easier said than done. Because replacement CEO takes months and have to be careful who to choose CEO. One wrong CEO can bankrupt corporation practically overnight. Perfect example Enron.

And that is life.... And actually, you can get by on $10/hr in many states. And children??? Perhaps people making $10/hr shouldn't have them unless they are willing to make the sacrifice. Just a thought.

$10 per hour isn't enough for me to meet all basic needs, including medical care.

Try Africa, South America, Mexico, or maybe China? Their average earning is far far far less than those who makes by flipping hamburgers in America. It is FACT.

There are many many people in third world that have no income, no safety net no nothing and they are pretty much on their own.
