Turkey Leftovers

No turkey or anything from thanksgiving leftover this time, since we ate it all at the church. All the people ate it all of the food and there was more people than they expected this year, even more deaf people came to the church.

What are you doing with your left over turkey?

So far--I've had a turkey sandwich with mayo, cranberry-cream cheese, lettuce on toasted bread.

Tonight for dinner is turkey casserole with turkey on the bottom of the dish, mixed with a cream of chicken and 1 cup of mayo, topped with broccoli florets and cheddar cheese.

Any other ideas or ? ? ? ? ? ?

Yep, I do that too. It fun to eat left over turkey and stuffing for lunch and turn them into sandwich heee :naughty:

<warning: current mood ---> irritated>

I didnt get to eat any left over turkey during my weekend at moms., but woo more ham! I must have ate a lot of ham-on-sourdough roll sandwiches during my time there.

Turkey Tettrazini. Very simple. 1/2 lb of cooked spaghetti, left over turkey chopped, about 1/2 c each of chopped onion and celery sauteed, can of cream of mushroom soup, couple of tablespoons of Worchestershire sauce, cup of grated Cheddar cheese. Mix all together, put in greased casserole, top with Parmesan and choppped pecans. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour.

Great with steamed asparagus.

It sound good... mmmmhhhh

quickly and simple...

Fry onion with little oliveoil until they are brown and add fresh chopped mushroom into fry for few minutes then add "campbells" mashroom or chicken soup (I order "campbells' soup via British online shopping because "campbell's soup" don't sell here in Germany) until the soup cream soon to be heat then add chopped leftover chopped turkey... then heat... finish... and serve with parsley rice... No need to bake...

I love to use leftover turkey to serve with slice tomatoes for sandwiches...

Turkey is excellent to make into a chili. Just crumble the turkey and use it as you would do with ground beef.

I also use leftovers to make turkey strata. So delicious. Turkey strata is exactly like Shepherd's pie. The beef part is substituted with creamed turkey.

How to do? Mix a can of celery soup with turkey and add stuffing on top of the creamed turkey layer.

Layer frozen vegetables on top. Layer leftover mashed potatoes on top of frozen vegetables.

Grate cheese on mashed potatoes and bake 350 C for half hour or until cheese melted and frozen vegetables cooked.

Enjoy the turkey strata!

It's a hearty meal enjoyed with a simple salad on the side.
