TTY Software for computers

I am curious how many individuals would be interested in a TTY Call software program for their home PC's and mobile devices.
 
I would. I use Nextalk to make TDD calls and it works fine. Just can't use relay on it anymore due to FCC regulations. Would like to have a different kind of TDD software other than Nextalk.
 
New Version of NexTalk coming to Market

The NexTalk.net system has been challenging to use. A new software option from NexTalk, Inc. will be available soon.

Do you know when it will be available? My nextalk now doesn't work at all. I was able to make TDD call last May but not since.

Lormar is unsecure so I'm not to crazy about using it.
 
Sprint IP Relay uses the TTY conventions for its relay service. The window system isn't as good as instant messenger, in my opinion. If you had an app that displayed the text like an IM, it might be better than some relay services.
 
I'll check into it. I need to call SS and I refuse to use relay. Last May I called them directly from my computer to their TDD number. But the nextalk program I used isn't working now and I have no landline phone to use my TDD on to call them.

I use nextalk at work. I only use it for relay calls. Where is the new software for nextalk???

Netalk actually works? I have it but it doesn't work so I stopped using it and uninstalled it. Is it from Netalk.net?

I have the old system. It comes with a modem it still works when dialing 711 for relay

Lucky. I like that program because I am able to save chats.

Can you use TDD on it? I am trying to find a way to contact SS through TDD. I don't have landline so I'm unable to use my TDD. There are no online TDD programs for me to use unfortunately. I don't want to use relay with SS.
 
I never understood why FCC is not allowing Nextalk to accommodate deaf people? They took away our only access to TDD calls for those without a phone! Ridiculous.

The Deaf need a lobby in Washington. The blind have one, and that is why their earning limit for SSDA is 1,700 a month while ours is `1,040.
