Hi,
I bought a Curve 8320 with OS ver. 4.2.2.180. I'm trying to activate the TTY mode and I can't find this option anywhere. In Phone - Menu - Options it shows the following list:
General Options
Voice Mail
Call Logging
Call Barring
Call Forwarding
Call Waiting
Smart Dialing
FDN Phone List
Hearing Aid Mode

After an upgrade to 4.5.0.52 - still no TTY mode.
I tried to add/select this function in Desktop Manager but I can't see it.

Can anyone give me an advice how to add/activate this option?

Thanks,
Eugen

I can't answer your question, but maybe you could help me. I just bought a Pearl 8100 for my wife (who wears hearing aids on both ears) to discover it has no hearing aid mode. We use T-Mobile, so the next step is the phone you have -- the 8320 Curve -- or possibly the new 8220 Pearl Flip. Since you have the 8320 Curve, do you know if the T Mobile version has a hearing aid mode? Much thanks.

If you have Compact C TTY with direct connect as handfree plug to blackberry and just turn on TTY mode before you call somebody on tty

Yes, it does. It has a T-coil mode. I use it occasionally, but really very rarely talk on the phone these days.
