Trying to stick magnets to my head

overthepond : what model do you have? Doesn't look anything like mine-Advanced Bionics-Harmony. I have never changed the magnets at all-for any reason-yet.

I have Cochlear and use a #2 magnet , it's quite fun sticking things to your magnet, but at most unexpected times objects stick to my implant stuck as radiator, umbrella, fridge magnet, even to car door, money

I don't recall any discussion at Sunnybrook re: magnet size with Advanced Bionics- Harmony Implant. So far- it doesn't appear to matter. It has only one function-direct the inputing sound to the internal processor without any "breaking of one's skin" in the skull. I would guess the strength of the magnet does the "job"- has been determined in the Implant design consideration.

Daredevel7 posted her picture with a stuffed toy cat that had a magnet stuck to her head. It was very cool .

I think that was before I joined. Anyone know where that picture is it sounds like it was fun and I would like to see it.

Thank in advance

Man my magnets around the house suck ahha....i cant do anything close to that fun...

Hope they got a extra super duper one at the Audi on Thursday otherwise....duct tape it is

Well no duct tape....damn....but it was close...I had to hold the test coil on as it didnt have the replaceable magnet.

She figures I am just still swollen and that will get better but I am using the highest one right now and it is holding pretty good.

Duct tape comes in digital camo now in case you are permanently magnet resistant.

Managed to send the CI flying off my head today at the gas station....still not sure how, just turned really quickly and off it went. No damage though thank god...looks like when I am out and about ill wear my ball cap to at least keep the magnet on...the processor might pop off my ear but not the whole thing

If you don't like duct tape you can get an ear mold so there won't be danger of your CI flying off.

Can you get a stronger magnet? That could be really dangerous - not to mention expensive if the thing happened to fall into a bucket of water or something nasty that would ruin it.

Unfortunately that is currently the strongest magnet....duct tape it is....where can I get the digital camo stuff??? lol
