Naisho, know anything about that torch? Especially what it would cost?
 
I dunno much about the process itself or a starter kit cost.

Glass itself melts within 600-800 degrees celsius, my best guess is a blowtorch capable of reaching those temperatures. Most of them should do that easily.

I've seen torches at walmart, home depot, lowes etc hardware stores. The price run around $20's for low quality kits. Around $50 seems average for the middle class line.
 
Just to let you know I don't work glass or anything
but I found that video to be interesting, I like to see
how people craft glass into beautiful works of art.

Thank you for that. That torch head screws onto what? Your regular Coleman gas cylinder? I understand temps ranging from 600-800 degrees is needed......so, just wondering....
 
Spoke to boyfriend and he said this:

You can make the torch head stationary, then run a hose from it to a propane tank. And yes a regular coleman tank or any tank for that matter will do.

He said try running a hose from the torch head after making it stationary so that you wont have to constantly change the small tanks since they don't last long.

He also said that coleman propane tanks can generate that much heat too.

I suggest trying the tanks first and see how that goes before doing the hose idea. :lol:
