Hi guys!
I'm currently translating the subtitles of a film produced by a deaf film director. The film is about a deaf man who waked up in a world where CI implants are the norm and there are no more deaf people. The film is in German and my question relates to the Milan Congress of 1880.
If I translate the German directly I would get "The resolutions of the Milan Congress are brought back into effect."
Is it commonly referred to as "The Milan Congress"? Or "conference"? I have also found it referred to as the Second International Congress on Education of the Deaf.
What is the most common term used in the US and other English speaking environments?
Thank you in advance for your help!
