For those who want to see the transcript of what Obama said at the GOP event:

Obama At House Republican Retreat In Baltimore: FULL VIDEO, TEXT

Obama seems to know what the hell he's talking about. He ACTUALLY READS their bills and explained in depth why their "solutions" aren't completely effective.

"THE PRESIDENT: Jeb, with all due respect, I've just got to take this last question as an example of how it's very hard to have the kind of bipartisan work that we're going to do, because the whole question was structured as a talking point for running a campaign.

Now, look, let's talk about the budget once again, because I'll go through it with you line by line. The fact of the matter is, is that when we came into office, the deficit was $1.3 trillion. -- $1.3 [trillion.] So when you say that suddenly I've got a monthly budget that is higher than the -- a monthly deficit that's higher than the annual deficit left by the Republicans, that's factually just not true, and you know it's not true.

And what is true is that we came in already with a $1.3 trillion deficit before I had passed any law. What is true is we came in with $8 trillion worth of debt over the next decade -- had nothing to do with anything that we had done. It had to do with the fact that in 2000 when there was a budget surplus of $200 billion, you had a Republican administration and a Republican Congress, and we had two tax cuts that weren't paid for.

You had a prescription drug plan -- the biggest entitlement plan, by the way, in several decades -- that was passed without it being paid for. You had two wars that were done through supplementals. And then you had $3 trillion projected because of the lost revenue of this recession. That's $8 trillion.

Now, we increased it by a trillion dollars because of the spending that we had to make on the stimulus. I am happy to have any independent fact-checker out there take a look at your presentation versus mine in terms of the accuracy of what I just said."

Funny... your PARTY does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.. it's a party of NO and you think Obama's all talk? Hilarious!

We are not the party of no. We have no voice at all. The O has all the votes he needs.

We heard you and you have nothing to offer. Next!

Not really, else the Massachussetts voters wouldn't have voted for Scott Brown, a Republican, for the Senate seat in the bluest of blue states across this fruited plain. Had Obama listened you wouldn't see the people of NJ, of all places, vote for a Republican governor of NJ. Had Obama listened you wouldn't see the people of Virginia vote for a Republican governor of Virginia. Had he listened he wouldn't be facing a nuclear option (reconcilliation - 51 votes needed) vote for the health care bill when he couldn't even muster the needed 60 votes after for almost a year. Even the 51 votes is in danger as well.

Obama isn't listening. He hasn't listened at all.

Keep it up Obama. And, oh, please do some more campaigning for Harry Reid, too. America needs another Republican senator.

Oh Dirty Harry is gone. He is behind al three GOP candidates in polling.

Yep. I know. Heh heh. But let's not tarnish the image of the real Dirty Harry (Callahan).

Federal and state has no relation so have republican governor victory in NJ and VA is just really no hit on Obama.

There's democrat victory in NY-23 so it means 2010 prediction is unknown.

You have said that about 20 times. Most people know that Governors are state officials. The point is those staes normally elect Democrats. They are now electing Republicans. Those same states will be electing Congressmen in November. What has been indicated is a change in voting trends in these states

No, not in VA since VA has been elected republican governors before, even VA is traditional red state but it could toss-up into blue state in years, depends on independent voters that agree.

NJ had republican governors before so their election is tricky.

Both of NJ and VA governors won due low vote turnout since it is odd year.

I guess we will have to wait and see in November. Personally I hope the Dems control both houses after November. I don't want Obama to have any excuses in 2012.

Yup, I'm predicting that democrats would lose some seats, at least for my prediction.

Obama need think so twice before he could do in right way.

I would almost say Scott Brown for President in 2012.........But it would be crazy to think a 1st term Senator had the experience to be President

I do predict a GOP landslide in 2012.

I do predict a GOP landslide in 2012.

or Obama may win for 2nd term and it is too early to say.

GOP is still unpopular as democrat does because they are on low approval.

I said I predict. Most conservatives don't vote. I believe they will now. I believe.......It's on

Not really, I know mostly conservative Americans are always vote, especially older, baby boomer Americans are always vote at all time since young Americans don't.

I was impressed with his knowledge of a lot of issues (especially the proposals made by the Republicans). Many of the GOP's points were quickly shot down as talking points. The game of politics by both parties are hurting the progress that America needs. Obama has schooled the Republicians.
