Here's a whip :whip:

America going bankrupt :giggle:

We already are bankrupt - there's no way we can ever fully repay the national debt because currently we are borrowing more to pay off what we have already borrowed in the first place. You can thank Bush for that one. When Clinton left office the budget was balanced and we actually had a surplus. Bush burned right through that in less than nine months. That should have been our first sign that Bush was only going to cause us even bigger problems in the future. But then again in the 2000 elections we didnt have much of a choice for candidates, I like neither Bush nor Gore.

My husband said we are not bankrupted and never will be. We are in debt, yes but bankrupt, no. I was asking him that cuz when I read Miss D's post, I got a little concerned cuz my hubby works for the Federal Govt and I dont want him losing his job.

I dunno - we are importing more than we are exporting at the moment and many jobs are being sent overseas. Maybe we arent bankrupt yet but we as a country are barely able to keep our head above water financially. We'll just have to wait and see what happens in the coming years. (not saying your husband is wrong, but ya never know what blows your way these days)

Australian Deaf Games - starting on the 3rd January. ONE MORE DAY TO GO!!!

He has insider info on what's going on with the Federal Govt that he cant share with me but he seems 100% confident that it wont happen. He said we are going into a recession. Wait and see. U are right, anything can happen.

Good to know that America isn't going bankrupt anytime soon. But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if US ever does slip into bankruptcy because I cannot fathom a country being trillions or more in debt, I understand hundreds of millions or even billions debt, but TRILLIONS? Hmm

As for recession, I reckon it's inevitable anyway. If that happens in one country then it will hit most, if not all, countries. Pretty much like domino effect.

yup war and violence cause chaos for the stockmarket, when the stockmarket crashes or goes down, war and violence shortly follow..... it is almost like they are intertwined.

I know the one of Shel's brother doing an ASL story was neat and I am thinking about trying to come up with a simple ASL bible story for the kids for VBS this year since ASL was incorporated with their material last year. Since Maddie is now of VBS age (I think) and Im past my health problems I will be able to help out. But I wil ask ahead of time and see.

Yes, shel's brother's videos are amazing. He's a natural performer! I think its a great idea for you to do an ASL Bible story for VBS.

I began to notice Brittany Spears is popular in AD Forum... :eek3:
