I can see your wanting to live around many forest, Colorado has alot of forest depend on where you want to live, There's Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder, etc. Just gotta do alot of research and check this website for check this website out! [url]http://www.coloradodeaf.com/ there are alot of events going on and deaf social too. I've seen many new faces monthly.. I've not seen a person who moved to Colorado and hate it. I've seen more and more ppl loving Colorado... Maybe a visit to Colorado will show it or not but definately if you give few months in Colorado, you'll see why!
Yes, I have another aunt and she lives in Columbine. She loves it..I wouldnt mind moving to Colorado just like I wouldnt mind moving to Seattle. I have an affinity for forests just like Sequois here does! However, my husband and I have very good jobs and earning very good money so we cant give up on that to take a huge pay cut and start all over with low pay. LOL!
I understand what you mean, LOL. I'm glad you're happy where u're at, though.
yea we are..only problem with MD is housing costs are so high. GRRRR!
Curious..why do u want to move from Washington State?
To be closer to Michigan than where we are at. Her family and friends are over there, so we want to move in 1 year or 2 years later. That's the reason why we're looking on best place to move to.
AZ is FAR from Michigan...why not move there as I heard it is BEAUTIFUL and cheap to live there? Heard that there is a large deaf community too...
I know, that's why we took AZ off the list. We're narrowing it down to Colorado and Texas and other state we haven't thought of yet. Sweetheart may plan fly to visit Texas this summer to visit and see what she thinks of the place. Her friend lives there. My family and some of friends live in California so Colorado or Texas is pretty much in the middle of the US and fair for both of us.
Ok..good decision to take AZ off the list..nothing against AZ but I really didnt think u would like living in the desert. LOL!
I dont know much about Colorado nor Texas so hope others help u with those two states.
Yeppers, haha. Yeah, we will find out which is best for us.
Sounds like life is going great for u and Sweetheart. Isnt it great planning for the future?
Yeppers, it's good to plan ahead than last minute and find out don't like that place, ya know?
Yea I agree...My ex hubby and I didnt plan on moving to MD..it was soooo last minute cuz I just played around and sent in an application to Gally grad school thinking I wouldnt be accepted..that happpened in July of 99. So, I got the letter in August 99 saying I was accepted to start Jan of 2000..it was sooooooo last min to sell our house, find jobs in MD and move...all happened in 2 months. NO research..nothing. Wow!!! Talk about a major change without research. LOL! Never regretted it ..best decision of my life. So, if it feels right, GO for it..do not hesistant... Too often, people hesistant and then end up not making the change in their lives.
Oh wow, you sure are crazy but you made it good.
Heard that deaf people out there are okay. My state is just east of Colorado border. During summer, If you happen to drive to or from state line of Colorado/Kansas at late evening or night. Thunderstorm are more violent I've seen and experienced driving during heavy rain and lightening were striking to ground so close to me enuf that I can see "spiral fire".
Colorado are famous place to ski and camping. Weather are nice during day but cold during night. Steamboat Spring temp was in 30 degree on last two week of June while we went on vacation to Utah.
