Top 10 US cities people are moving to

Why Chicago is listed as 8th?

I should replace Chicago with Portland, OR.

It's the list of top places people are moving to.......maybe a lot of people aren't moving to Portland...

Hiking? Marion Sansom Park at Lake Worth (northwest of Fort Worth) is a great place to hiking, it goes up to 100 feet. Plus they have natural waterfall.

Shop? There are amazing shopping at Mockingbird Station area and Uptown at west Village in Dallas. Epic experience. You don't get enough to see everything in Dallas. :(

Cool! Once it gets springlike Ill have to go check out this park :)

Someone told me that Chicago is very depressing and on verge to bankruptcy like Detroit.

Oh well. :D

I wouldn't want to live in Vegas. Too dry. Grew up visiting Vegas all the time for hiking, gambling, and shows.

It's not too dry, where I lived before was far too humid, this is nice. I avoid the strip at all costs, I hate driving on it and there isn't much there that interests me really and the shows are overpriced. If you show ID and prove you're a local and not a tourist, you get a discount on a show, but not by much ($80 show goes down to like $55, which is still too much to spend on a show).

No interest in gambling here, I think it's idiotic really and I wish my knees weren't so bad, otherwise I'd love to go out hiking. I just drive around and play Ingress..lol

As an atlantan, I can definitely see why lots of people move here, you get the job opportunities of a metro area without the high cost of living that you usually get with a big city like NYC or Chicago.

I only play blackjack there 'cause I'm good at it. lol. Yeah, the strip can be too busy unless you want to go to Primm? Those porn magazines and newspapers are all over the sidewalks. Nasty.

The Red Rock Canyon is beautiful. It's been a while since I have gone there. I'm sorry to hear about your knees!

Really? I went to LV two times and it was pretty dry at 110F and feels great even no sweat. Unlike Chicago got too much humid at 85F and made me sweat so easy and burn my eyes which I hate it so much.

Yeah, I had the unfortunate pleasure of spending 2 weeks in Chicago for a conference.... it was horrible. The only way you could get me to enter that god-forsaken area again is to pay me lots and LOTS of money... Coming from Tampa and going to that, can we say eww? :P

Portland is great - less snow/icy, longer bike season, fun rock climbing, hiking and more opportunities. Volcanoes haven't been active for many years and just stay away from volcano so you will be fine.

I want to take you and your best friend Derek to Portland and Seattle, also there are two bikes for you. :D

You ain't see sun until summer. It's not great for your condition.
