What kind of treatment are you talking about?

J am talking about drilling the toot, and killing the nerve inside, and putting the cure and etc...

Thanks, Hope you are wright

You can ask your ENT whether the equipment, the dental work, anything poses an issue -- that's what I did before my daughter had any work done on her teeth.

Sorry, but J am from Serbia, and here CI is on a low branches....We did surgery 6 years ago in Germany, but here there is no doctors who knows a lot thing about it.
The problem is that J can not find any professional paper that explain connection between CI, maxiofacialis nerve, tooth nerve, toot and possible mutual effects when you for example do some toot repairmen t or maybe even bigger problems

I would worry more about the effects of not getting a tooth treated that needs it. Infection could be more of a risk that dental care.

The only possible issue that I can think of is the electric pulp tester on the teeth. I read one study saying that the risk is low for the CI but that is a if and I am not a doctor. This is something that your doctor will have to answer.

Where do your child have it's CI adjustments/check up now, ask them? Or contact your CI centre in germany to email you the safety precautions and get it translated before giving it to the densit in Serbia.

Hmm:hmm: That could be a possibility. But there are other ways to examine the pulp. That is only used if they suspect an abcess, and an absess can also be detected by x-ray.

I should have added that the electric pulp tester was used on me when I was a kid. It was used when I needed a big filling to make sure that the nerve in the tooth is still alive. Many times the dentist would test the wrong tooth and I will jump out of the chair. I think nowadays that the dentist would use something like a cold probe to see if I can feel it on the tooth in question. It is also used to verity that a root canal is needed in marginal cases.

Just a cold water spray would work, too.

Thank you all, you have been of great help. Think J will talk to our CI adjustment doctor from Hungary. If any one knows where to find any study about this issue on the net please inform me. Once again THANKS
