Episode 9 - The Golden Boy
Air date: 6/1/2005 At 10:00 PM EST on SpikeTV

Coach Tito Ortiz’s prodigy Matt Hamill finally gets his chance to fight in the Octagon against Coach Ken Shamrock's Mike Nickels. But Matt gets little support from his teammates have issues his superior skills and cockiness.

If Matt win then move into Semi-Finals and if he lost then go home.

I heard many rumors and read many fourms about the result of Hamill vs Nickels. I will find out tonite to see if these rumors are wrong ones or right ones?.

It is not a matter of whose's rumors are right or wrong.

When the smoke clears, I hope Matt is the winner.

Well Matt won! He shows a lot of potential but he is a diamond in the ruff. He needs to learn some ground fighting which is funny since his background is wrestling. He needs to get his guard up too. He is a very strong and determined young man who should go far. :cheers:

I watched the event tonight, it's obvious that Matt wasn't at 100% due to the fact he popped his arm/shoulder out of whack a couple of times during training. Other than that, he knew that the advantage of this fight tonight was to 'stand up' and do some boxing which he did quite well. It was nice to see him win it as well as the fact that his team first let him down with some of their tauntings, etc., and then realizing what they were doing and changing that kind of approach which must have made a positive impact on Matt.

Now that he was taken to the hospital at the end of the show, what remains to be seen is how will this effect his future fights? Looks like we'll have to stay tune to find out later. ;)

Could be happen McMahon calls Hamill to WWE and destory Nick "Eugene" Dismore in less than 5 minutes then changelle John Cena for WWE Championship!!! Before Hamill changelle Cena for WWE Championship, he should try Masterlock Changelle by The Masterpiece, Chris Masters!
 
I watched Hamill's fight in octagon was good, not too impression what I except like his speed wrestling technique and need work on ground fight and submission move... I am looking Hamill become first deaf to win UFC Championship around his waist!

OR TNA call Matt up as TNA"s "Eugena". Matt is fitting into TNA's octagon. LOL :laugh2:

Yea, not impressed me by his fighting...lucky, Mike was awful stand up fighter plus not listen Ken's screaming "knee, knee, knee".

I think Matt will lost next match. Brit Michael and Josh are better striking than Matt. That would be Jesse's as Matt's chance to beat. Unless the doctor won't let him into another figthing after possible his mild conussion then he is done from TUF3.

Matt will be better fighter in few years once he have to learn to be better all around figher than just "wrestling guy" plus he need to eat right (too many Cheerios and Bologna sandwiches) foods. He could move down to middleweight from light heavyweight to make speed more.

TNA's octagon? Haha, its call six-sided ring cuz they got 6 side, not 8, ha
 
Now, Mat Hamill was out of TUF3 due injury. Two TUF3 losers rejected on TUF's asking for come back to replace Matt's spot. Matt would be on The Ulitmate Fighter Live match on June 24th..but most likely won't show on TV.

Fcuk!!!! I wish it wont happen, I guess I will keep eye on his live fight on June 24th... Hopefully it will be on TV!
