Tom Brady's cursing spree indecent to lip-reading kids' parents

Did anyone see this on TV , I don't watch football , I agree it was in bad taste showing Tom swearing over and over the 'F' word.

Why does it bother you?

It's like your favorite word here over and over.

Some people have wondered if you actually know what "WTF" means.

I'm not offended. You certainly don't have to know how to read lips to understand what he's saying though.

I would not be offended either , I am thinking about young kids that really look up to Tom and like to watch football. Football is family time for lot of people and I can understand the parent in this story being upset . I do hate it when I am watching a movie on TV at night and they beep out person using four letter word .

It probably won't do much effect, kids learn swear words from peers, not just from movies or professional sports players. A lot of networks censor the swear words but it doesn't solve the problem.

Yeah and if the lips are not blocked out I can still read the actor lips. I swore in front on my dad when I burnt my hand and I thought I was done for , dad just told me that was not lady like. Yeah right dad , he called me just about every name in the book.

Some of those players are not being classy with their behaviors.

I have to agree with Tom on this. Why are the networks suddenly airing it? It's not like this has not been happening on the field since the beginning of football. And, it's not like Tom Brady is the only person that has been doing it.

In fact, I'm wondering why the FCC hasn't stepped in here and corrected the NFL and broadcast companies. Perhaps it takes something stronger, like a wardrobe malfunction?

lol.. I'm not offended. My brother and cousins know an old childhood friend who played for Kansas City Chief and Chicago Bears. He said that they always swear a lot when they are being annoying or.. lose.. I told him that I can lipread on the TV and they need to do something about that and he laughed. That is one of the reasons that coaches hold up paper to conceal their mouths.

Life is too short to complain about this.

My 2 cents...whenever my boys spit out the "F" word...it pissed me off. It's one of the worst cuss words that I detest....But I'm not about to complain about football players or other people....I just ignore 'em....WTF is pretty common these days...
I've seen people using the "F" word over and over when conversing....makes me wonder about their intellect.

oh shit I walked in dog doo that amused me..there is a swear word I don't like not f word the c word, sod off one I use and W word used a..lot most definitely on bad footy player..i hate it when every other word is swearing not necessary

Yeah , when I watch the 'Tonight Show' with Jay Leno a guest would swear and it get beeped out and I am thinking WTF ! Come this is an adult show and there is no needs to be beeping out four letter word. Football is watch by kids and the network air Tom swearing , he did nothing wrong , the network did. What do parents think football players are going to say when they get pissed off , "Oh fudge?" I wanted to see how people here felt about this.

It's ironic that cursing/swearing/profanity is called "adult" language because it's used mostly in a non-adult manner. That is, it's used when people lose control of themselves, or lack sufficient vocabulary to express themselves, or to shock or entertain others--all expressions of immaturity or lack of education--not "adult" behaviors.

It's a shame that such coarse language is becoming more acceptable in the general public. People complain about second-hand smoke and auto pollution but seem comfortable with communication pollution dirtying their environment.

sadly when I travel on school train which go at your peril I see all the kids on train phone glued on ears apparently they talking about sex lives,i seen conductor stop train get cops as language obscene it offensive..

Reba, I have a question, a little off topic. When you were interpreting and cursing/ swearing/ profanity was used, what did you do? I'm sure there are signs for such, did you have to use them?

walmart is the worse place where kids can hear lots of adults using those words.

The word is actually a reference to adultery. Would anyone be really mad if he said the word adultery four times in a row?

Today, it is a more complex meaning of expression.
