well - based on your posts to get some idea of what your personality is like... I think the most important question is...

Do you have picky needs? Are you very flexible and tolerant? those are most important traits that will make your living experience with roommate comfortable. Your roommate should be same as well.
 
I have two childhood friends, so I'm not worrying about anything. That would be total of four roommate and me. But that will be my apartment in New Jersey. It will be my responsible to make sure that they pay the bills on the time.

Supposedly, if they're making a lame excuse for delaying to pay the bills and pay the rent, I will throw their ass out on the street and never bother to coming back.

Besides, I'm very strict.
 
you mean that 5 people would be sharing an apartment? Doesn't take a crystal ball to see where that is headed.
 
No. It's going to be four. Brian and I were talking about having a female roommate.

1. you may nag them to pay up but you cannot make them pay. that's the problem
2. if you throw their ass out, can you afford to pay bills by yourself?
 
Nagging them will NOT solve the problems. I've done that and sometimes roommates will not listen to you. At least, the rent/utilities are paid due to the management. It's their problem not mine.

are you going to be able to replace them immediately after you throw their ass out? It usually takes 3+ months to find replacement unless you know people who will immediately take the spot.

If you are prepared for worst case scenario such as paying for bills yourself for a few months, then you'll be fine. if not - well.. not my problem

She will have her complete private. It's not my business to enter her room to begin with. That would be me being perverted for seeing her naked..that's wrong of me doing that. So again she will have her complete private.

We got like 4 or 5 guys with just a woman living in this place...most of the time it's guys...women who live here aren't that common.
