Marty McFly asked that question of Doc Brown in the original "Back to the Future" movie when he was first introduced to the time-traveling DeLorean. When Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd -- who played Marty and Doc, respectively -- were reunited by Toyota in a short video to discuss the new Toyota Mirai hydrogen car on Tuesday, it was Lloyd's turn to ask the question.
"No, this sucker's electrical," quipped Toyota engineer Mischa Pollack, the same response Doc gave to Marty back in 1985. Pollack then proceeded to demonstrate how the Mirai partially uses fuel created from garbage, just like the DeLorean's Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor from "Back to the Future Part II."
