Tmobile fail?

For Verizon then no, it will cost $55 for unlimited data and messaging so I would recommended you to pick Sprint.

Ok i will keep that in mind. my friend have verizon and she is paying about 70 bucks monthly.

Last night, I stopped by at TMobile store and asked them about when my SK is ready for me to use but they said they don't know when. Our SK's data service will restore slowly, like some of you said earlier.
This am, I got a message from TMobile to say: Free TMobile MSG: Sorry for your disrupted data service. We will automatically credit your account for 1 mo data charges. Details at t-mobile.com/sidelick
Well, I guess I have to be patience. I am trying! :giggle:
I found this thru Deafweekly Current Issue:

Major outage hits T-Mobile Sidekick users
by Ina Fried Font size Print E-mail Share 15 comments Yahoo! BuzzUsers of T-Mobile's Sidekick have been suffering through a major outage over the past several days that left many without access to the Web or their address books.

Microsoft, whose Danger subsidiary powers the Sidekick service, said it is "working urgently" to deal with the problems, which interrupted data service for most Sidekick users starting at 1:30 a.m. PDT on Friday. The level of disruption has varied, though most users have been affected, Microsoft said.

"We are working around-the-clock to get all our services back online and will continue to post status updates to our valued customers as issues are resolved," Microsoft said. "We thank our customers for their patience and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this disruption has caused."

(Credit: Corinne Schulze/CNET Microsoft said that, as of 6 a.m. PDT Tuesday, it had restored service "for critical applications including address book and calendar, social media applications, IM, web browsing, media player and camera."

"Our goal is to have all services restored to 100 percent functionality by Thursday; however there may be some exceptions," Microsoft said. The software maker bought Danger last year.

T-Mobile offered an updated statement on Tuesday, apologizing for the outage and saying it would credit users for one month's service because of the interruption.

T-Mobile's Sidekick forums are filled with comments from users expressing their frustration over the issue.

Among those affected was Ariel Barco, who said he noticed his service out on Friday night and got his service restored last night. But not all of his friends have been so lucky, he said.

"Many of my friends have Sidekicks and one in particular is still waiting for her address book to be restored as we speak," Barco said.

He said the outage was frustrating since it limited the ability to access social networks and the Internet, which made it hard to plan for the weekend. Plus, Barco said, T-Mobile didn't do a good job of communicating what was going on. "The issue was not communicated to the user base," Barco said. "I found out about the outage on Saturday after checking blogs and T-Mobile forums and T-Mobile's Twitter. I also checked with acquaintances with Sidekicks."

Update 1:50 p.m. PDT: Statement from T-Mobile was added.

Get iPhone 3Gs (newest iPhone model) for $200 with $40 per month service fee (only if you are deaf) for two year plan. It's pretty closer to what you are paying for your SK ($30-40?) am I right?

If you want unlimited text, just add $10 to make your monthly service fee from $40 to $50 for two years.

Pretty cheap for the best cellphone in the world ? :D
Hell yeah!

ha cute. do iphone have a good range in the country area? I will check with one of my friend who have iphone.

Oh thanks for the link. It helps me to see better as to where the coverage ranges receives better. I can see that Iphones signal recevies better than sidekick's signal is. :cool2: I appreciate your time of giving information about the iphone. It's pretty tempting. *I will do my best to let sidekick go whenever it happens anything to the sidekick.*

Everything will come back eventually.

Sometimes, you have to reboot your Sidekick to make everything come back.

I hope so!
I did reset my SK last Sunday but it did not make everything come back. :(

My friend in Wisconsin lost all emails, address book and etc. when the service was restored today, too. :(

Oh, no.. sorry to hear about your friend. Is that possible for her/him to ask T-Mobile store to restore everything what she/he has lost? I am still worried about my SK's info. (I forgot to ask the saleslady about this... )

I agree with you on this. Sprint is the same price as T-Mobile.
My deaf friend has a BB pager under Sprint. He pays them $29.99 monthly.

My friend told me this am that she lost her address book list because she removed the battery trying to retrieve the wireless service back on. Ouch! I was just lucky that I did not do that on mine because I have over 200 contacts in it! Only it removed my few categories in the address book as the shortcuts.

I did the same thing on Saturday -- big oops for me. But I am confident it will be all restored as soon they can.

There is not much T-Mobile could do about that. They have to wait until Danger Inc gets the servers restored.

The reps in the stores don't know much like what is going on, they know what other reps know. Sometime they will say anything to get us to hush. :)

I heard rumors it will back Oct 13th don't know if there is any truth to that one. Just like Brian said, they will do anything to keep us hush.
