I got it the other day, but I run Vista Basic, so I ignored it, plus I had just download IE 8 to try it (it sucks as usual, went back to firefox), then I got that message when I launched firefox.

It's not a virus. Just a Firefox security feature. Firefox checks for harmful plugins.
