thinking of leaving AD

hey dude dont leave AD. why dont u put ur unfavorite ADer on block list? it shud works because u wont see these buggers' posts if you block them. i know who does some of us and let me tell u that he is just jerky. he just likes bullying some of us.

you have to have the power to ignore the bully ADers. it is only a solution.

Wow. I really can't believe you all care that much. It means more to me than you all could ever know. AJ and Cheri have both been IMing me all night begging me not too. I very well could use my ignore feature. In fact, I do. But that doesn't stop me from clicking the "View Post" link. Mld, is not the only person, but he/she/it is the main. As of now, I think I need at least a break from AD to calm down and collect my thoughts. Thanks for the support everyone. You are the best. :grouphug:

Levi, I am glad you do respect my role as an RO, but I am not here because of my job. In fact I could possibly even be fired for posint on here. I am here because I have an interest in learning ASL and more about deaf culture. It seems some people are opposed to this. I guess I'll never feel completely welcome until everyone is welcoming.

And AJ informed me Mld attempted to start some shit, and it was deleted by a mod. Go away, you stupid troll. No one wants you here.

I'll see everyone in a week or two. I may pop in every once in a while, but don't anticipate it.

Cental! You are special and unique one in the deaf/hh community and you are very welcome to learn more about ASL and the deaf culture. There are some selfish and judgemental members on AD, and remember there ALOT more caring, respecting and friendly AD members here. We have the right to post or read their post of any opinion/issue and the right to report to the mods of any uncomfortable postings or do the ignore mode. Hey, I learn alot about you thru your postings and you are one COOL dude. Oh, I never forget your funny animation "having a bad day?" of a smiley banging its head on the computer keyboard to death!!! It would not be the same without you here on AD. Please don't go away. I beg of you :hug:

Perhaps this will show us that we should not tolerate harassment in a forum?
Though, it can be hard for the moderators to untangle these things because both sides do contribute to the problem.

1) He was wrong to behave that way, anyway, and to harass you and others. I could clearly see he meets all qualifications of a classic internet troll.

2) Consider being the better person - report this person to a moderator and put him on ignore asap. All he just wants to do is to upset you, and that almost worked in this thread when you wanted to leave AD. See? You disempowered yourself if you are gonna let one person goad you into leaving while there are thousands of persons you hit it off with in here...

Okay this is from an administrator of another forum. I totally hate it when I have to deal with members who contributed to a problem, and both don't think they are responsible. They ARE.. but they are just responsible for different things, and that is very unavoidable. Think about it.

But consider this a learning process, you know? What is a life experience without one? :)

Congrats on making the decision to stay.

I just want to say that I didn't know you very well when I came back to AD last weekend, but it was nice to get acquainted again. I had been so busy outside of AD, so I took a break and sat on the computer the whole weekend. I even started an "ask me anything" thread. It was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. I have enjoyed your posts and threads. I had gotten so tired of certain people, who aren't here now along with a few who are still here. It is so refreshing to have someone here on the message board that isn't looney. You talked about being hearing, it doesn't matter. You are connected to us, just like Taylor. I can hardly wait for him to come back, too. So pleeeease stay with us. Those who are ignorant and are royal pains will eventually be gone one day. So Cental, I am joining in along with the rest of us and we want you to stay. :hug:

I know how u feel hurt and offended by MLD, he is not very nice. :nono: ---> MLD. Central, U are MORE welcome here to AD and eager to learn deaf culture, asl, etc since u are hearing. Too bad if MLD likes or not.

I see that ADers enjoy about ur posted, etc. It is worth for u to stay here. You, AJ, too. Smile. :thumb:
