Were you always been this naturally thin, or average or heavy?

what caused you to become thin or become thick, or average (weight)?

Its up to you if you want to explain as to why your weight was.

Always short and fat...

My family on my father's side, which is the only one I know, runs to two types, practically skeletal, or my build.

It's really distinct, but there is a large group of them.

I was very slightly chubby in early grade school, leaned out a bit in later grade school, then lean in Junior High and High School, probably due to the biking and newspaper route, then after high school I slowly gained wait. Now I have to lose that weight again, through a calorie restriction plan one way or another (diet and exercise).

Tall and thin. Mom thinks (hopes?) that I won't be so lucky once I have kids. hahaha

Always average...no one in my family has ever been obese or overly chunky....

Same, lots of relatives who are short and fat. but my age, some of them do watch what they eat etc, not the same as our older relatives. But older relatives call us, " no fun".

I was almost always naturally thin and small person, born several months premature. When I was in college and just after graduation I was on the Pill and I went up to about 160 at biggest; i was also eating meatier and fattier foods for a couple of years out of college. Then I started changing the way I eat and hubby got vasectomy so i was off Pill and then later I started working out regularly.

my mom is also small-framed, she was never fat but she lost some weight after her hip operation and after her most recent colon surgery. we both weigh about 100 pounds.
my dad's side of the family has morbid obesity and there was a time when he was a young man that he was tall and chubby with a big frame but was never very fat. Then he lost the weight and become very skinny. He was always swimming in Lake Michigan as a kid since he grew up in Chicago and jogged and swam regularly til his late 60's.
he still walks alot and works security.

Thin till I hit middle age and then menopause. Most I weighed was 160 a few years ago. That affected my knees so I slimmed down some and around the time my husband was ill or just after he died (can't remember) I was back to around 150. Am currently at 145. Not doing any specific diet. I do try to walk once or twice a day though.
Was 98 when I graduated from H.S. Was 105 at age 28 when I got married. Probably was around 115 when I got pregnant and lost that weight "immediately" after (though kept the "pouch" :( ).
I inherited my mom's metabolism and my youngest daughter inherited it from me. She is around 102 (she's 19). I attribute her weighing more than me at that age due to her being 2 inches taller (bone weight).

Ha ha your mom must have sense of humor. maybe your mom could be wrong if you do take care of your body. ;)

She's a riot. :giggle: I'm hoping she's disappointed once the kids get here and I'm still tiny.... but just in case, I eat a TON of crap food now so I have fond memories of it all later. :laugh2:

ha ha don't even think about it. I believe in karma thing. :giggle:

Always short thin (5'2") ...until i menopause took it all away. Now...short and a bit over weight

I would be willing to bet that very few people, unless they had food allergies, have seen no weight fluctuation since they were a kid. A more accurate question would probably be has your weight changed and during which decade of your life did you change it.

Some people don't become health conscious until much later.

As for myself:
Added muscle and fat most I've weighed in 198.
Reduced to 170 several times so you could say that is the average(even though that is 15 lbs overweight).
Reduced back to normal weight 145-150 for the past two years now and will stay like this.

For years, I've put too much emphasis on size(always wanted to be bigger and stronger). It was never a real solution.

I have always been tall and thin. Since leaving university I have gained some weight and am now about average: I don't get nearly as much exercise as I did due to driving to work and then sitting at a desk all day.

There should be a yoyo option. I don't think childhood is the only place your weight is going to change.

I've been mostly thin, but I have yoyo'd. If i get sedentary I have found I will gain weight. I'm itty bitty, 5'1 and small boned. I was thin right up until the summer in between junior high and highschool. I stopped "playing" and I was always stuck at home watching my 5 younger brothers and sisters, no sports. I steadily gained weight until the summer after my Junior year. I got my drivers license and a job, and up off my butt so I lost weight my senior year. I had been prob 125/130 before I got that job. That doesn't sound like much but on a 5'1" small frame you don't much body to spread it around lol, I was a little chubby, not fat, just a pudgy size 10. By the end of my senior year I was down to 115. I stayed that weight until I was 21. When I was 21 I lost my job on a Monday and got a DUI that saturday, bad week. So i had no license and no job for at least 6 months....and a buddy of mine would take me out drinking almost every night. All that sitting around and all those beers I was back up to 130 in no time. That bad week was in Aug, then the next spring I got a job landscaping, and shed the weight by the end of the summer. That winter right before my 22nd bday I met the guy I married and had a baby at 23, after nursing him (best diet ever btw) I got to 102, had another baby at 25, went right back down to 102. Stayed between 102-110 ever since, I'll be 38 next month. Well the last year I've rarely gotten over 100. Got really stressed out, man problems, last January and lost weight, ended up 97 pounds. I need to gain a little more weight I've been a size 3 for forever now, but now all my pants are too big. I should really be in a size 1, I broke down and bought one new pair of work pants in size 1 so they fit. I need to gain a little weight because I don't want to buy a bunch of new pants, and I have a case of saggy britches.

In the past 20 years I have never had a job where I sat down, between that and working out semi regularly I've kept any weight off but I know if I ended up being less active I'd gain weight quick.

i did think about yo yo. I made the last question is the same thing as yoyo weight. Me too my weight has been yo yo over years. I really need to cut down more but i love food!

Thin child, my weight fluctuates from thin-average, thin-average until menopause
when I had to start HRT.
On hormones boy, - do you WANT TO EAT....
but even so, it's within average, and once I got stomach flu months ago
it's back to thinner average
- 138lbs / 5'3

mind you I am 56 now...
I used to be few inches taller, and at one point exact 100lbs...

Fuzzy

I was born rail thin, I weighed 120 all through gradeschool/highschool, work.... then I started working at a Gym, I started taking suppliments and putting on weight, I shot up to 165 with muscle mass no body fat, then I quit the gym to work for the city, all the healthy eating was replaced by fast food on the road/jobs..ect...
After 15 years I was pushing 260. Last summer I dropped down to 188 with healthy eating, and currently holding at 190. A buddy of mine just asked me to join the gym with him, in which I very much want to, I know I can muscle up fast and drop to 175 which i think will be my ideal weight for my age, and I will feel a hell of alot better.

I've always been tiny...I'm curvy/athletic but still small and that's always been pretty much the same :)
