There has been a cure for deafness all this time...

BS language. BSL. hmm

Hrmm.....ASL seems to work well if you interact with people daily who use ASL...especially for someone like PFH who seems to be in the deaf community a lot.

I've been learning some ASL, and I can go to some meet-ups here in Boston...but it's only, like, 1-2 per week....and lots of old people...but that's okay, I guess. Not sure if there'll be a point in my life that I'll be using ASL daily and frequently instead of just few times per week. Maybe I can't go to the meet ups anymore because I could be super busy with my job in the future and I'm 99% sure my boss and co-workers will be all hearing. Ehhh...

your choice. But just remember , the younger you are, the easier it is for you to learn it. I know it is discouraging.

ASL classes in college probably have more people at your age though.

Lol, if only my college will cross register with Boston University or Northeastern as well so I can take the ASL classes over there for free. Would be great if I can make ASL my HASS (Humanities, Arts, and Social Science) concentration. But I guess I could try to petition to the Dean of the foreign language department about that?

Shelia, that would be an awesome idea!!!!! BU has a Deaf Studies Dept, and a HUGE Deaf community.
