One example, that happened just recently, would be when Prime Minister Stephen Harper went to a former governor general's funeral in New Brunswick. It was a Catholic funeral and Stephen Harper is a Protestant. It was claimed that when Stephen Harper went up to retrieve a wafer from the priest (the bread), he put it in his pocket. There was a huge debate about this... yeah I know... and it was finally resolved when eye-witnesses claimed to see him eat the wafer after he left the presence of the priest and without being within the camera's eye view. Then it was all blamed the bad journalistic skills of one particular New Brunswick newspaper. :roll:

I don't get the controversy. If Harper is a Protestant, why did he go forward for the wafer in the first place? Protestants aren't allowed to take Catholic communion.
