Ciné noir is my favorite. Metropolis is the best silent film ever, and The Big Heat is tough-guy classic.

Fritz Lang?

Yes Chase. My favorite too. Also silent. When I was kid a theater in my town showed old silent movies once a week. Your turn.

So you grew up in Big Timber, Montana, too? Ha ha ha, in Big Twig, the theater's price of admission jumped from 15 cents weekdays to a WHOLE QUARTER! Naturally such discrimination against kids out on the farms who only got to town on Saturdays was countered by our 4-H showing silent films (because the projector was an Edison original) at the Grange on Saturdays. Gary Cooper's The Winning of Barbara Worth I remember and a host of others, including Flash Gordon and Tarzan. Fritz Lang movies were the best, though.

Back on topic:

I'll have a guess ... remembered the Olympics in Calgary so ... Calgary, Alberta?

No, it's neither Calgary (great Stampede!) nor Los Alamos, but New Mexico is a lot closer than Alberta.

Yup, that's the hot city. You're hot, too . . . er . . . potato and knowledge-wise I mean, of course.

Your turn, Bott.
