I'm stating that officers demonize and dehumanize. It is a practice that is engaged in in every war.

People do this to an extent in cars as well, it leads to road rage sometimes. It's a way of seeing yourself as having more worth than another thus allowing yourself to be superior to another. I've seem my parents come close to doing this a couple of times (not in the car, with religion). That's when I speak up in support of the person they are... looking down on. My Dad doesn't see it, but my Mother knows and she always says how proud she is of me after I do that. Parents are funny.

It's not on the same level as Christian ideology vs another Christian's ideology. Who is the more correct Christian? Well, no one can refute that for sure because each group understands the teachings differently.

I had one atheist put me down because I celebrate holidays with religious history like Christmas. I don't go to church but holidays are a great way to get together with family and friends.

You do realize that those people are basically one inbred family? I would hardly call that any kind of a movement.

They've protested here in the Lowcountry several times, and they get no support from this community.

For the record, TCS and I actively work against the Westboro protests. We are active members of the Patriot Guard Riders, and we attend military funerals, memorials, flights that bring in the remains of our fallen heroes, military send offs and returns, Honor Flights, Wounded Warrior events, etc. We stand in Flag lines, and ride as escorts, to honor our fallen heroes, and to shield the mourners.

The armed services are also charging, prosecuting and convicting those who participate in murders, atrocities, and other wartime offenses.

TCS and I were discussing this. He said that even during the Vietnam era, his senior officers (including former POWs) never held GMT's or assemblies where they tried to demonize or dehumanize the enemy. He never heard any such stories from shipmates, either.

Those who did commit atrocities were often people who were acting out their own psychological problems, personality defects and prejudices.
 
You personally, Miss I march for troops...you support their basic rights same all other people?
