No,nothing's wrong with Pidgin. I use when I am on Linux.

OK, speaking of sending/receiving offline messages via AIM.

Are any of you able to send/receive offline messages via AIM 7x (beta)? I have been trying to do this for a while, no luck. I have been only able to receive offline messages from AIM users. I assume most of the people I have on my buddylist are not using AIM 7x.

good question. Since I am using 6.9.x I assume it because your freinds havent setup to receive off line messages thru the profile online.

AIM 7 has been out of its beta stage for couple of weeks now.

They have started testing AIM 7.1. I recently used it for an emergency chat, it is nice - somewhat different from AIM 7.0. Still buggy though.

I don't upgrade any of my stuff unless I HAVE to... last time I upgraded AIM from 5 to 6 it took a while to get used to it... true not many changes but it did mess up the way I had things like I wanted them on 5... now I got things the way I want on 6... I got a feeling 7 is going to do the same thing... so... forget it... if it's not broke don't fix it.

I had loaded AIM 7 on my computer for awhile and hated it, so now, I'm back to using 6.9 and I'm a happy camper!
