My present to you was the anti-skunk advice. Best. Present. Ever.

For starters the cedar shakes were gray and black.....we powerwashed every single cottage and stain coated the shakes.
Then there is the moss. The moss was on the roofs of the house and the cottages--we power washed those as well to make it clean
Then the curtains were old and raggedy. We sewed and made new curtains for every single cottage.
All cottages needed interior work in terms of painting, refurnishing, etc. Some of the cottages haven't been painted in 10 years!
Then there was cottage #9. Apparently someone took out the support beam that went across the ceiling causing it to sag and it was evident when you walk into the cottage. Secondly the back end of the cottage was sagging. So if one is to put a ball on the floor--it would roll to the back. And the bathroom came from 1939! So we put the support beam back in, remodelled the bathroom, kitchen, paint, etc, etc, etc.
Then we added the green house to grow flowers for the Cove.
Refurbished the other side of the Duplex as the owner of the land moved out and it hadn't been painted in 15 years and housekeeping wasn't her strong suit. So---painted it, remodelled the kitchen, new decor, etc, etc and will be rented out for Valentine's weekend.
The people that owned this place are wonderful people but were tired of running the business and it showed.
Now it's for sale and I wish we could've bought it but it isn't in the cards for us.
And I'm fine with that.

Whoa, That is a lot of work. That had not to be cheap fixing up all the place and I imagine, it was also time consuming as well?

Everything was on a shoestring budget!
Most of the time we took art work off the walls to take apart and clean it. Then put it back together looking brand new.
Amazing that people don't realize that pictures need to be cleaned as well, etc, etc.
It was time consuming however 9 months out of the year--we had plenty of time to do it because the busiest months is June, July, August.
