also when I ask them to press a number for a service rep should I tell them to press number three I want to speak with service rep or what?
BTW what the hell does sksk mean?

sksk stands for stop keying.. It's a throwback from TDD days. It means you are done talking.

sksk = bye bye and then to hang up.

yes - if you want option #3... just say "3 ga". Whenever you dial 888 or 800 number, the OP asks you if you want to hear a complete msg or REP. if you say REP - the OP will do her/his best to find a customer service rep for you... if not, OP will type out complete message for you to select the choice.

**Always end your sentence with GA (it stands for "go ahead" which is same thing for talking to people via radio - "over")

Whew! I got that sorted out finally, turns out they needed to have my mum call them back to verify the name, which I did via relay. Appearently they safegaurd it from credit card theft. I like the added security but its a pain as well. LOL.

whoa.... that's way too troublesome.... :mad2: but at least you got what you want... is this your first time to use internet relay service??

I knew ga and sk but sksk threw me off. oh well it is sorted out now, they are processing the order and I should have it in about a week. I was getting worried there for a bit.

bumbled through the damn conversation or have my mum act as the relay operator, LOL.

I dont talk on the phone that much anyway.

LOL. Yea that's what I did before internet relay service existed. Couple months ago - I just started using CapTel. I believe you do qualify for free CapTel phone but you'll have to ask your DVR to pay for it and they will.

This is truly a great find because this way - I can actually get angry at them in my own voice and words LOL.

true. :giggle:

trying to express anger through a relay operator isn't quite the same, is it? (especially if they are female and you're male or vice-versa).
