Just woke up from a HORRIBLE nightmare...omg. I woke up about 3 AM...went back to sleep for about an hour and then now I'm wide awake. Grrrrrr

You must have ate some funky food before bedtime. :giggle:

I had nightmares every time I slept while I was on pain medication after my oral surgery and for about a week while I was coming off of it. I almost went gothic. Half turned me into a warlock just to deal with it psychologically. I had to learn to feed off of it or I wouldn't be able to tolerate sleep.

I thought clam chowder was East coast food.

I think it was pretty much made "famous" back there but there's a lot of it here out West.....the West version....it is minus that red stuff they have in the Boston Clam Chowdah. Name of that red stuff is eluding me at the moment....

I guess you were grading papers in that dream.

A nightmare before Christmas? ........:Ohno:

I've wanted to own that movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas" for years now. I wonder if I would still enjoy it without hearing the music.

NEW ENGLAND AND MANHATTAN CLAM CHOWDER

5-6 slices bacon
1 sm. onion
2 potatoes
1 sm. bottle clam juice
1 c. water
2 c. milk
1 can minced clams
Pinch thyme
Pinch sweet basil

Brown bacon and onions. Combine remaining ingredients and simmer. add milk just before serving. Crumble 5-6 crackers in soup.

For Manhattan Clam Chowder: Substitute tomato juice

Cooks.com - Recipe - New England And Manhattan Clam Chowder

From this recipe, I think that red stuff may be called "tomato juice."

I got 250-something more to go. Who knows, maybe I'll break 5,000 posts before Christmas??? :D

I have finished my exams and university, now I am officially on summer break. :)

you mean winter break? unless you're in southern hemisphere

Wow, I had a dream the other night that I killed somebody too! This girl was threatening my family with a gun, and I went up to her and confronted her. She put the gun to my head. Then I saw a gun on the table next to me, so I quickly picked it up and put it to her head. I hesitated, hoping she'd lower her weapon, but I was afraid the longer I waited, the more likely it was that she would fire and I'd be dead, so I pulled the trigger and killed her. But I realised at that moment that just an instant before I pulled the trigger, she'd dropped her gun. I felt terrible, and I woke up.

hi everyone,

i had a nurse check me out this morning and she said i *didn't* have a heart attack or stroke and that the tingling/shock-like pain i've had in my elbow is the result of my cts. i've also been taking ibuprofin (3 yesterday) and my wrist feels better. :) however, i'm still going to opt for surgery, begin physical therapy next week and see a neurologist.

hhhmmmm.... a small piece of advice - do not read the gun debate between Jillio and Jiro before you sleep :cool2:
