Sorry, I've been told that I'm a bit of a baby when I'm sick.

:ugh:

I'm gonna try to set everything up in my room kind of the way I had it after my surgery. I can lay in bed and watch TV or use my computer or sleep. Maybe I'll feel better in there.

i did the same thing following both of my ci surgeries except i moved the recliner between my tv and computer. everything i needed was within reach so i didn't have to walk from my bedroom to the living room and vice-versa.

I just got back from the gas station, I didn't buy anything because when I walked in the gas station, I saw a guy lying right on the floor inside the gas station, and the owner told me to leave like he was so scared, as soon I walked out of the gas station, a bunch of cops start pulling in the parking lot of the gas station, I don't know what the hell went on, but I was so scared that I got in my car and left.

Updated: I went there earlier today and saw that the gas station is closed for today, and there was a news channel station van there and 2 cop cars, I think something real bad happened there, from what I've heard from a neighbor that the guy that was on the floor died. I will find out more information later when I see the news tonight. Right now there's an investigation going on at the gas station, cops are looking for something in the snow.

I found the news article, I posted it under current events. Thanks! I'm more glad that I wasn't there at the wrong time, because it could have been me too. But, I'm very sorry for the other guy that didn't make it. :(

Oh I wish I had a recliner! I'm always saying that! I wonder why I haven't bought one by now :hmm:

Unfortunately, I still have to take the walk to the bathroom

A recliner is indispensable. I have a reclining loveseat for me and my two small dogs. One sits beside me and the other on my footrest.

I wish I had a recliner but my parents believe they are evil since they are prone to reclining too far back and flipping over. Oh well I will surely get one when I get my own place.

I have been running around like mad all this past week preparing for my Algebra
Final on the 15th, getting my final composition paper in by the 10th and looking for a job as my current company will be closing its doors in January. I do believe this is the most stressful holiday season I have been through and I STILL haven't sent out my Christmas cards yet and still haven't completed my Christmas shopping. If I'm bald by January, you'll know why, but I'll just kindly blame it on an acute case of alpopecia (sp?).

dixie,

the recliner i have is a rocker and doesn't recline fully unless you press a lever on the side of the chair.

if the lever is left alone, the recliner gently rocks back and forth, but doesn't fully recline.

recliners are so comfortable! :D i *love* rocking back in forth in mine especially when watching tv or listening to music. :giggle:

a ci user i know recommended i purchase one before my first ci surgery so i could sleep upright. as it turned out, my mother had a recliner which she gave me shortly before she passed away (a few days before my first ci surgery in 2004) and i've had it ever since.

yes, i saw that thread and wrote an identical comment to the one i posted here.

i'm SO glad you missed being at the gas station during the robbery, but am sorry about the man who lost his life. :( what a shame. at 29 years old, he had his whole life ahead of him. :(

I don't think this Imodium imitation is having an effect. I've taken the maximum daily dosage already.

in that case, you might want to try the name brand imodium. 9 times out of 10 the generic form of the med isn't as effective as the name brand is.

The chairs, or your parents?:hmm:

Boy, december is pretty much crazy and active... It surely do harm my money... ( x _ x )

Phew...

In Australia, the PM is encourgaing people to wisely spend money on christmas cheer, which CAN help with our encomy here, which can expand and improve for us, since we are not in recession -- the prime minister is working hard to avoid it. Lately, it has, and the $8.7 billion dollars which is the SSI/SS similar sort DSP (Disability Support Pensions) are the christmas bonuses for the people who have them to be wisely spent, see quote from PM below (stated from my local newspaper)

Spend, spend, spend, and all your economy's woes will ease.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has made it clear he wants his gift of $8.7billion in bonuses for parents and pensioners to be spent on Christmas cheer. Rather than hoarding the cash in six million bank accounts for even rainier economic times, or being miserly and paying off debt, Mr Rudd told yesterday's community cabinet meeting in the Geelong suburb of Corio, south-west of Melbourne, that he expected it to be spent so the economy could grow and people could keep their jobs.
