Yay! - David.

Megan, I hate wine.

I love my alcoholic beverages ;D

Wine, beer, - you name it and I'm sure I'll love it LOL!

I'm not too fussy when it comes to food and drinks.

but with a D70 you can have interchangeable barrels depending on the type of photography you want to do. the mpx's may be lower, but I am waiting for Nikon to come out with a reasonable 10 mpx to come out so I can possibly purchase one as an upgrade from my DSC- H7. It may be a year or more out into the future but by then mpxs will be near 12 and more affordable - given I still have decent paying job when my current company closes. But I will see how my job situation pans out in December. I may switch companies from PJP to ConAgra in January if I can get my current employer to buy my vacation so I can get an an extra paycheck to carry me over until I get paid at my new job.

but still the D60 have interchangeable lens too.. and it is at 10.2 MP!!! :eek3:

well, this was big step for me. now i feeling ooz

Hmm it is something to consider. How about you do a nice review of it for me so it can help me narrow down my choices. Of course I cannot afford it right now with my finances, but still I may like to save up for it in the future.

I will do that for you, when I have the camera in my hands, and I can show you some pics when it is taken and whatnot

And I have $85.00 USD in change sitting beside me. This will plunked into the bank for later.

You know man, D60 is only $500 or less in the USA, it is MORE cheaper than it is $1,200AUD in Australia

It is what I paid for the DSC-H7 but I am not willing to sell it though as I always want a good camera on back-up when I get into a photo shoot. BTW - I have one guy that wants me to do a photo shoot with is daughter who is an aspiring model. (she seriously does have the look - 16 years old could easily pass for a 20-something given her height and facial features.)

Thats exactly what my pockets look like right now! LOL. I had to make my truck payment this past week in addition to other bills and my cell phone is due this week when I get paid.

I am however putting money back each week to cover next semesters tuition, which will be around 2,000 if I take no more than 6-9 hours.

damn girl... ouch.... hope you can find a better job that pays more than minimum wage! also... you're pretty good with photography.... maybe could use that skill for extra income. :cool2:

I make more than the federal minimum wage but still everything's so damn expensive. Right now I make $9.00/hr plus incentive pay, which after everything's figured Im making around $10.50 per hour BEFORE tax deductions.

I have considered putting together a portfolio to present to my local newspaper (which I interned at during High School), as well as a couple of local photography studios to see if I can do photography part-time after work and on weekends for cash.

sweet! don't forget to put on The Jiro Sunglasses. screw Oakley :cool2:

But the incentive pay isnt gauranteed each week. If I am absent from work for whatever reason then I lose my incentive pay for the week meaning my wages are $9.00 per hour all week long. Also our incentive pay is based on the amount of meat we save. The more we save on the yeild, the higher our incentive will be. Here lately we have been earning an additional $1.30-$1.50 per hour in incentive despite our hours being short.

I have relatives that work for ConAgra and starting pay is $12.50/hr. After six months they receive a 50 cent raise to $13.00 per hour. After a year they make an additional 75 cents. So they top out at $13.75 per hour as a line person. They also have what is called a 'premium job' which means you can earn an additional amount per hour based on the job and what skill is required in order to complete it. My cousin is a QA team member so she makes around $14.10 or something like that. But the drawback is that at ConAgra you work 13 days straight with one off. My cousin's take home pay is around $700 from what I understood. Not bad, but you work all the time. She used to work in the poultry industry like me and she said it is no where near as stressful or laborous as where I work. If my schedule is conducive to working 13 on and one off, I would consider ConAgra, working 3rd shift while I go to school 2-3 days per week. Meaning I would likely dissappear from AD.com altogether, LOL.
