I have been wondering in the last few days about this gal at the cafe, where I work (yes, at my work), she and her other work collegue makes coffee to these buinsesspeople, such as myself. The nice gal, Rachel** who makes me coffee is very nice person and I have been noticing that she likes me sometimes, and my friend, John** has been telling me to ask her to have coffee with me sometime since she makes them all the time. I have kept wondering if it would be worth it to ask her for a coffee with me sometime?

****NOTE **** These names are not real, I know their real names and it can not be unveiled in the public.

If you like her it won't hurt to ask if she is a nice girl.

Just in the middle of writing an note, but just having hard time to write it right. :dizzy:

Well of course you should ask her for coffee. The worst that could happen is she says no. And maybe it is possible you would have a new friend or girlfriend.

You have nothing to lose. Ask her!

Which is the best?

"Hey,
Wow. I admire your strength for making my coffee all the time. I'm willing to cut you a break. Instead lets have coffee sometime."

OR

"Hey,

You work too hard. You should grab a coffee with me sometime, instead of making them"

Boy, it is complicated, isn't it?

Why don't you say " would you have a cup of coffee with me?" or go with the 2nd line

Just be aware, the australian grammar, is bit different to yours in the US. So I'd like to make it short and simple. I believe the girl, will understand what I mean, in the note.

I understand go with the second line

I made a smooth move to the girls few weeks ago by complimenting them -- i wrote

"you guys work hard to provide us great coffee"

When I finished writing that, I placed the note in front of the girls and left, not to expect a reply. My friend, said - That's a good smooth move.

LOL!

Compliments will go along way :)
