Any of you ever see any of The Librarian movies?

It's a made-for-television movie about this guy who is a bookworm geek with no life and ends up becoming the Librarian. No, not "a librarian"... I mean "the Librarian". He becomes someone who works like Indiana Jones.

They did 2 of them in the past and the 3rd movie will be on television this weekend.

The Librarian: Quest for the Spear

The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines

The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice

The actor is Noah Wyle who starred on E.R..

At this rate, we could be seeing another The Librarian movie in 2010. :)
 
We rented one, I think the Spear one from Blockbuster. It was kind of a dumb movie, but I will watch it if I get the chance this weekend.

Why was it dumb? Was it cuz it's a bookworm playing hero?

It has been a while, but I think it just looked low budget, and Noah Wyle is not a heroic character in my imagination.

I guess what you say could be right, but Sherlock Holmes was a bookish character whose heroic actions I always believed.
 
I didn't get a chance to watch the first move but I did get to see
The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines and The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice over the weekend on the TV.

I thought both movies were interesting and it did remind me of these Indiana Jones movies in a way along with Mummy series in a mix. The reason it made me think of Mummy in a way because Rachel Weisz's character is also a librarian.
 
i will rent the librarian soon VERY soon i saw ad for that movie and it look so much interesting my kind of movie HEH

i am sure i will like it as it is like Indiana Jones movies
 
I did watch the Judas Chalice on tv and I thought it was good and funny.. I guess my sense of humor was working better this time.;)
 
I happened to watch this movie on TV, but I didn't know more than one movie. It was a good show. Thanks for telling me another more movies. So, now I'm aware next time I will watch 2nd n' 3rd movie that would be thrilled.

They're doing re-runs for the previous movies. The 3rd movie is on television right now. It will be a few months before they release it on DVD.
 
Like the first two movies better but third movie is rather so-so.
 
No, I haven't. Since I enjoyed "Raiders of the Lost Ark", I might enjoy those movies and I will check them out in the future. Thanks, Vampy

Yes, saw all of them and loved them! It may be low-budget and the special effects aren't mind-blowing but I like the dialogue, it's kind of Indiana Jones for intellectuals. :lol:
 
I saw all of them and liked the last one. I like the way the story reveals more and more about who the librarian is. The library itself is pretty cool.
 
the first one was so-so...... but i'll watch rest
