Exactly.

I've have caught bits of it flipping channels around, and I absolutely wouldn't allow the kids to watch it. I find it to be immaturish and stupid, and like someone already pointed out, I would not be surprised if it's all a staged act for ratings purposes.

Yes, it is OB and Jerry himself would even tell us that he's just an entertainer and I'd ordinarily let it go at that; however, when the show is re-packaged and aired at times when kids would see it, then I'd hafta tell him, "....for shame, Jerry, for shame......." But maybe, contractually he doesn't get/have much say about such things or maybe he wouldn't care less what I have to say.....

I just think having programming aired at times when kids are still up puts even more personal responsibility on parents to be ever-watchful and we haven't yet begun to point to those parents who don't even have that skill to begin with.....ahhh, I'm rambling.....*bowing out and receding to a wisp of smoke*....

But, in all seriousness, I agree with you.

I also think that Springer doesn't have complete control over when his show airs. Unfortunately, the network execs have that say. His show is syndicated, so that pretty much gaurantees nationwide coverage with little to no responsibilty on the people that airs this show.

However, I'm really an advocate for parental responsbility. It can be argued that the networks and the cable companies are responsible for the content that they put out, but ultimately, it STILL falls to the parent. Parents must take responsibilty for what their kids are exposed to. That's all there is to it!
 
First time I ever saw Jerry Springer show when I was in high school, I see too much drama and strange people on the show, It wasn't my type of show to watch, My boys don't even know Jerry Springer exit because they haven't watched it and I wouldn't let them watch that stupid show. ;)

I say both the company and the parents need to work together.

It used to be that the Jerry Springer tv show used to be aired at midnight to 3 A.M.

If I was the company CEO then I would have quality family programming during the day and educational tv shows set to show after school so that they get to have more education pumped into their system ... Discovery or History Channel even a Mathematics tv channel on how math applies to real world jobs. then after 11 p.m. the screen goes blank with grainy white, black and silver image.

This way the kids have less of an incentive to stay up and be in bed for school and be a friend to the parents everywhere as a CEO, also as a Christian too.
 
IMO Jerry Springer's show is retahded, but I find myself watching it sometimes just for kicks. :lol: The show is just so unrealistic and full of dramas. It's not something I see in everday in real life so that's why I watch it once in awhile. I can tell that these guests know what their problems are, but they get on the show to show us off and fight like hockey players to get the ratings for Jerry's show. This reminds me a lot like the wrestling shows.

Children shouldn't be watching this show at all. It's the age that they don't fully understand. What if they start intimidating them? This could lead them to trouble. To avoid this from happening, the company needs to change the hours like Health said.

Fake? I compare their behaviors with Hollywood stars but to me, it's real which opposite to Hollywood stars... :dunno:

Yes I'm agree about TV restrict for the children.
German volience, horror, etc movies on TV are restrict for the children from 10.15 pm...
Normal movies like romance, police criminal, etc from 8.15 pm... but 2 US TV programmes are from America don't have restrict for the children... I saw Jerry Springler Show for a first time is 6.00 pm which it's no good for the children... I'm going to plan to have evening snack at 6.00 pm to avoid those program.
 
Jerry Springer show wasn't used to be on at midnight or 3 am, not that I know of, It usually was on during the weekdays at 3 pm....then changed to 11 am....

I agree that Jerry Springer show should be on very late at night, but it doesn't help much if some kids sneak out to watch TV late at night....

I don't think this kind of TV show should be on at all, its a stupid show anyways...

Look at Heath's post #4. Read Jerry's biography and you will see where it says about Jerry caught two people lying about themselves. These kind of people who act it out on the show are a bunch of desperate people after money so they decide to go for it on the show with false pretenses.
 
ahhh but I suppose you CAN find people like that in real.

That is not to say it's fine to lie and cheat, even to get on Jerry's show..

I think that Jerry Spring is just entertainment. Parents shouldn't be blaming everything on Jerry Springer. They should simply say no to what the kids watch. I've watched a lot of television while growing up. If something inappropriate was on television, my parents would tell me to change the channel or have me do something else.
 
Yeah it is ashame that they fight over boyfriend or girlfriend or woman reveal she was a man, and all.

Even though the rating is low, they still won't unplug this show.

I'm glad that I am single and not have to deal with unfaithful partner and it is tacky for people to be so possessive over who they slept with and thinking lover is faithful.

And some americans watch this barbaric tacky show because they love seeing somebody suffer.

10 years ago, I was at Gallaudet, a professor asked us students what we think about that show.... It was a tv major class I was taking to criticize tv shows and movies.

But yall know me I like getting attention..
I said, "Jerry Springer is jewish".

And professor blasted at me for saying that and my classmates gossiping and spreading rumors about me. And I made F's in that class. And a jewish girl came up to me and asked me, "is it true that you said something about jewish people?"

I nodded my head yes....

Got so much attention and didn't care and welcoming harsh consequences....

And so I decided to withdraw Gallaudet and went to other college and graduated with Business Degree.

I can't understand the couple whom they are themselves parents who faked to humliate each other harshly for money... What if their children watch their parents do that in Jerry Springler Show... *goose bumps*.


Faked or Real... why could they want do that in the show with no think how their children feeling... It look like that the money is important than worry about children's feeling. What their children think of this... I can feel children's pain when they watch their own parents in Jerry Springler Show. It's no good parent role... :(
