That would not make sensed

(From the web on hearing loss degrees)
26-40 dB Hearing Loss:
Greater listening difficulties than a “plugged-ear” hearing loss.
Child can “hear” but misses fragments of speech leading to misunderstandings.
At 30 dB hearing loss child can miss up to 25-40% of speech signal.
At 40 dB child may miss 50% of classroom discussions.
Often experiences difficulty learning early reading skills such as letter/sound associations

So why are you excepting such "awful" hearing above 500 hz? You are making my point!

Deaf dude, Faire Jour is a mother to Miss Kat, I think she would know what her daughter was/ was not hearing. She probably did the best she could for her

If I had "only" 85db loss average which is what Phi4sius and Miss Kat has, I would be aided way better than 30db with the same HAs I currently wear. At 1000Hz, I am aided to 40db(115db HL plus 75db gain) At 85db loss, id be aided to 10db! Was a gain of 75db ever tried? If not, how do you know it wouldn't work? Phi4sius is going to be trying just that. He's already getting huge improvements in speech with his new, more powerful HAs!

A deaf dude's life: All my audiograms thus far with my comments on them!

You can see my audiograms in my blog post. My 1998 audiogram, I had much worse hearing than Miss Kat, yet I am aided at 35db. If I had 85db HL instead of 100db HL back then, id be hearing at 20db!

And what is your (audiologist tested) speech scores in the booth, and what test was that on?

I will need to have a formal HINT test next time I see the audiologist. What kind of speech tests did Miss Kat have? I can ask the audiologist to give me the same tests.
