TAMPA, Fla. -- Authorities said four teens have been charged with the sexual battery of a fellow member of their flag football team in a locker room at their Tampa area middle school.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said the incident happened on April 30.

Two of the suspects allegedly held the 13-year-old victim down to the ground while the other two sexually battered him with a broom handle and a hockey stick at the Walker Middle School in Odessa.

A school district spokesman said the victim came forward on Tuesday, claiming he'd been bullied. They sat the students down, and law enforcement was notified after details of the assault were revealed.

The four students have been charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment.

Saw that yesterday on my local news... Sad results, of the school districts not handling Bullies like they should.

I have heard of horror stories like these. I just hope my children dont experience anything like this. Scary!

As a parent, If I find anyone bullying any of my children or of any children I know of. I will not go to the school board. I will call the law enforcements to go to the school with me. To prevent horrible incidents, like we hear of.

You know - I've always wondered. exactly what is sexual battery?? is it same as sexual assault? rape?

Does this help?

Counselors and psychologists will be available today at Walker Middle School to help students and faculty cope with reports that four students sexually attacked a 13-year-old boy on campus.

Pulling the crisis team to the school is a first step at trying to return the campus to some semblance of normality, said Steve Hegarty, Hillsborough County School District spokesman.

The principal has been in touch with teachers through the weekend to develop a strategy to deal with students returning to campus the first day after details of the attack became public.

On April 30, two students pinned the victim on a locker room floor at the Odessa school while two others raped him with a broomstick and hockey stick, deputies said Friday. It was the culmination of two months of bullying, deputies said.

Randall John Moye, 14; Raymond A. Price-Murray, 14; Lee Louis Myers, 14; and Diemante J. Roberts, 15, were arrested at the school Wednesday on sexual battery and false imprisonment charges. The four have been removed from school, Hegarty said, although no final decision has been made about their school status.

All four will be tried as adults, said Pam Bondi, Hillsborough assistant state attorney.

Hegarty said the counselors will be available for teachers as well as students. The counselors, pulled from schools around the county, typically deals with a death on campus but are trained for other situations, too, Hegarty said.

School officials began to take action last week after flag-football coaches witnessed some kind of altercation between the victim and some of the students accused of assaulting him, Hillsborough schools Superintendent MaryEllen Elia said. All five were members of the school's flag-football team.

All four teens will be tried as adults.. due to the nature of the crime.

I just wonder what kind of action the school supposedly took.

and if the bullying was there.. Why were they still allowed to be on the Flag Football team?

Those questions needs to be answered by the school.

Due to this case I would be pulling my child from the school (if she were the victim) and have her go through counseling and therapy to deal with the truama, and I would enroll her into another school, or possibly homeschool her depending on my options.

If my child were one of the perpetrators, I would ground them for eternity, and leave them for the judge to decide. What they did was horrible and they are due their punishment. Once they got out at age 21, they would not be allowed to come to my house, until they have completed rehabilitation for sexual behaviors, and can prove to me they can function normally in society and can stay out of trouble.

And sorry they wouldn't be receiving many visits from me from Juvy. I would be dispensing some tough love right now.

That's actually incredibly disgusting and disturbing. :| That has probably scarred the 13 year old for life.

I can't imagine the amount of therapy that kid will have to go through after such an experience. The thought of it makes me sick to my stomach.

These boys were only acting out what they see at home. No kid learns this on their own. Best talk to those parents and let the police handle it.

OR they are acting out what they've seen in movies. Even as 13 year olds they can still blur fact and fiction.

All these boys are at home with their parents. Awaiting trial. They are all on the ankle alert monitoring.

These boys.... once the judge decide if they can be tried as Adults, they will be back in Jail.

Since they are juveniles. They have been released. Until the judge decide how they will be tried.

Lord if them boys were at home with me, they'd be working their tails off the entire time, no loafing around!

I think if they are being released they should be forced to return to school and face up to their peers, which I am sure a vast majority disapprove of them now!

The victim however should be allowed to quietly and privately transfer schools and start over.

Expulsion used to be a form of punishment, now it's become a form of protection for the perpetrators!

Still I agree that these boys will get what's coming to them in jail.

If I'm not mistaken they'll be held in a juvenile detention center until they are 21 when they will be transferred to prison to serve the remainder of their time - as per juvenile laws right?

If its 10 years for rape, assault, and battery they are looking at 10-15 years right? If so they'll be 25-30 when they get out. Given the seriousness of this crime they should not be allowed to parole out.

Filing alleges multiple assaults

TAMPA - Four teens accused of sexually assaulting a classmate pleaded not guilty to the charges, and are in custody at the Hillsborough County Orient Road Jail.

Randall Moye, Lee Myers, Raymond Price-Murray, and Diemante Roberts—all between ages 14 and 15 – were charged as adults, and each faces four counts of felony sexual battery.

At a hearing this afternoon, a judge set a bond for each teen of $15,000. Three of the teens will have to wear ankle bracelets.

According to charges filed Tuesday afternoon by the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office, the teens are accused of sexually battering the alleged victim on at least two occasions.

Prosecutors had previously mentioned only one assault at Walker Middle School, which the 13-year-old alleged victim said followed a period of bullying.

In court today, prosecutors said two of the boys, Roberts and Price-Murray, were "principals" in the alleged assaults, and they said the other two held the alleged victim down. All four teens face the same charges.

Prosecutor Kim Hindman told the judge the state has independent witnesses who say they saw and heard the alleged attacks with a hockey stick and broom stick in the Walker Middle School locker room.

Hindman also said there is forensic evidence of the assaults, and she said all the boys charged admitted what they'd done in handwritten statements to school officials.

They are all charged as Adults!
