'Teacher' who doesn't know the difference between open source software and warez

This teacher took away a student's cds of Linux stuff because she thought that the software that thousands of people write and make gratis and open source for anyone to be able to improve it = cracked illegal software. No! It's stuff they wrote themselves to let other people use!

The teacher claimed to have tried Linux in college. She clearly haven't read the licenses of the open source operating system and programs.

So that makes the cds stolen property, property stolen by the teacher. :eek:

If the teacher thinks Linux is sooo illegal, she should just stop using the Internet because Google uses Linux and many other places online do. Even if she uses only Windows and visits only sites that don't use Linux, the internet traffic she'd generate would get passed along by Linux systems on the way. :D :Owned:

Oh the title is supposed to be warez,not warz. :angel:

The title is fixed. :)

That's interesting as Linux is always open source. I guess that teacher probably doesn't want to admit that Linux isn't illegal, even she claimed to have tried Linux in college.
 
I don't even think it is real. If you read the links, it only gives the name Karen, no last name, and credits her with being a middle school teacher. Not even a state is given.
I would not be surprised if many middle school teachers don't know what Linux is.

I don't see the cause for outrage.
 
Yes fucktard is a good name for this teacher. I say she needs to take some remediation courses.
 
What? Windows may the most widely used, buy only because it is the most widely distributed across the world and more affordable compared to other OS such as Mac (is superior to Windows as far as security and stability goes but is more expensive than most can afford). If the world were a better place we'd all be using Macs.
 
What a jerk she is! It's free country and Linux my goodness is free!! Punishing kids just over using Linix is bad example. Shcool culd have used Linux OS and divert monies toward education. Not to M$!

Unbelieveable! I wouldn't want to be in the "Windows" world. Linux or Unix (Mac) is awesome and I love it!. After getting the Windows product since my first computer over 10 years ago, I've been pleased with my Mac for over a year. I still have my old Xp in my other pc, I choosed Imac over buying Vista and good thing I did.

Some schools have Apple computers, some using Windows, it varies what school pays for.
