I think the taxi drivers are alright but I didn't vote. I only been in the taxi car twice...one time in Mexico, and Las Vegas. Mexican taxi driver made my family go crazy. lol

Yes, these taxi drivers are Professional drivers !!
I m very impressed with them especially
in NYC lots of heavy traffic they're so fast & smooth
just like Dick Tracy type with yellow hat and wristwatch.

They have been doing it every day long hours
so thats why I consider them "Professional Drivers"

NYC taxi drivers are NOT quite the same as
these taxi drivers at other cities such as Seattle, etc.

Hey, Have you ever seen any taxicabs into accidents
in NYC ? Never. :D

Are you high? Just kidding. :D

I had heard from some of my friend said in NYC have car accident that involving with taxi but I guess that some other cars can crash on taxi and make other car to be fault, also depends on make mistake.

One thing we never forgotten about this Taxi station wagon...... back in 1985, when my wife and i were on Amtrak from San Diego to Los Angeles to visit her parents ..... once we got off the amtrak and we did call taxi through TTY at pay phone.... The taxi arrived to pick us up... and we told the taxi driver to step the gas to get out of bad neighborhood which is "GANGLAND" as we were nervous standing and waiting for taxi comes... and the driver did actually floored to get out of that area and the station wagon flew off the road like roller coaster up and down and went to Denny's Resturant with our heart beating faster and waiting for her parents to pick us up...LOL what hairy ride we ever had!!!!!!

I was once in the back seat of a base cab when the driver had to make a stop to pick up another rider. He left the car running, in park, while he went into the building to get the other guy. All of a sudden, the car started moving! It had shifted by itself (I found out later the cab had transmission problems, and the driver knew about it!). Anyway, even though I was in my dress uniform (which included a straight skirt), I jumped over the car seat, into the driver's seat, and stopped the cab. I'm glad no one saw that action, ha, ha! I was NOT happy with the cabbie for allowing that dangerous situation. :(

I keep seeing taxi drivers in Maryland driving really slow. I expected that they would be going faaster, but that is not what I'm seeing.

Some aare pro's, others are not.

I haven't had any bad experiences riding in a taxicab before, but I've noticed that they do have the most dangerous job because they drive " alone " even during those late hours ( midnight to 5 am or so ), having alot of cash on them, and having to deal with a bunch of strangers, God only knows which strangers can rob or kill a taxi driver as I know some passenger customers can be quite rude or start an arguments :dunno: and sometimes customers can tell the taxi driver to take a different route or turn off here etc while driving, that's kind of a scary job to have, I know I wouldn't want to become a taxi driver knowing the risk that can be involved...I believe there are some professional taxi drivers out there that can do the job very well, while on the other hand, there are also some non-professional taxi drivers out there too....

I've seen alot of bad drivers everywhere not just those taxi drivers, so I dunno....

I didn't vote , cause I don't want to vote yes or no to ALL taxi drivers....It's half/half
