It would be depend....

most of the time we use booth but if more than 4 people we use the table... I don't mind either. :)
 
Booth if it's easier to slide in and out.

I don't mind tables if ideal for communication purpose.
 
Depends on the mood.

Eating by myself? I take the bar.

In a pub? I take the table. I hate the bar bench when I am drinking because it limits who I can talk to, but at the same time... I hate having to go in and out of a booth all the time. So... table please!

Eating out with a group of people? Booth.
 
I'd prefer taking up a booth for comfort and privacy. It is also ideal for a date or a double date.

If I were with a group, A table (a round one, preferably) would, of course be ideal.
 
I prefer the table since a booth is too hard with my legs. Also, I like having my space. In a booth, I am often too crowded.
