Well for most of us, there are 22 days left till the G1 launches. Not for this lucky anonymous tipster who sent in what just might be the first “unboxing” pics on the net. We’re using that term loosely because there were unfortunately only a few pics sent in and they leave ALOT to the imagination. That being said remember we aren’t really seeing anything “new” but still, we know you guys love spy shots of the G1.

We already know whats included in the box thanks to the G1 manuals leaking online early. Still, enjoy the pictures for what they are and just think how you will feel when you unbox your very own, white(with nasty silver), black or brown G1. If nothing else, these pics will just serve as teasers for what YOUR box will look like! Then again, we showed a little of that yesterday.

I should add a few days ago we challenged our forum users to be among the first to get us unboxing pics. There was admittedly a small “prize”, and many were willing to undertake the challenge. Since the winner is unknown, I’ll be accepting the prize on their behalf! Thanks mystery man/woman.

curious, will they have IP-relay on this new T-Mobile G1?
 
It should include instant messaging with AIM. You can use IP-relay, i711, or other in G1.
 
I hope they included i711! If they offers relay service on G1, I am pretty sure this is no doubt, the winner of uhhh deaf communicate device. G1 > Sidekick.
 
Oh nice phone but no desktop sync, no video support built-in, except for youtube and only exclusive to tmobile.

I'm not gonna back to tmobile due poor signal strength.
 
i dont think i will buy this one.

i don't know, i'm not sure about TMobile G because i went to circuit city and i looked at BB curve 8330 i liked that one. i'm having a hard time decide.

i read people's review from CNET for BB curve 8330, so far they were happy with that BB curve.
 
The G1 sure must got to be a good smartphone, but I'm passing on it for the Verizon Blackberry Storm (the iPhone killer from RIM).
 
my 2 year contract with Tmobile ends in Jan or Feb of 2009, so I'm trying to decide what I should upgrade to.. the new SK2008 or this one? I've been real happy with the SK3 so would rather stay with similar products, and the G1 seems similar enough to the SKs. Hmm. Will have to do research and comparing.

I understand, meyag2. The more I read about G1, I am starting to consider waiting a little longer for something that could come better than G1.

The guy that founded Danger Inc (the maker of Sidekick) did the G1 for Google.

I believe Microsoft/Danger Inc is coming up with the next Sidekick with 3G soon.

yeah, i'd rather wait and see what happens. i wonder how much for the plans for TMobile G1.

thanks brian, i found it on my tmobile acct. not bad for the plans, :hmm: i'm thinking but hard to decide.

are you going to get this one? you say you reserve one. are you with contract or without contract? my contract end until jan 2009.

i appreciate your help :)

Welcome, meyag2. :) I am still thinking about it. I have contract with T-Mobile that will end next September.

To get T-Mobile G1, it is required that you add 2-year contract. They are supposed to be available at the stores on/after the 22nd of this month. Maybe they will have one that one (like myself) could pay in full without extending my contract or without contract.

right, if you get TMobile G1, you'll have another two yrs contract. you know what? when the TMobile G1 arrival then I'll just go there at tmobile store and have a look to see if i like it or not. i don't want another contract again you know.

your contract end next year september 2009. what did u use now?
